Stuck in Viking Cave

Playing on NDS. I got the ship from the Vikings, sailed somewhere, left the boat and went to the mini village, and then went through the mountains to the Viking cave area again. However, I can't get out of the valley again. The passage I took seems one way so I can't get to the mini village and I can't get to my boat.
Is this a bug, or have I missed something obvious?
Any help greatly appreciated.
 
I am not quite sure what happened with your game. Did you complete the Sea Dragon Temple after leaving the Viking cave the first time? If you managed to sail somewhere and got to the mini village and then back to the Viking cave...you should go to the entrance of the Viking cave and go mini again so that you can go through the tunnel that leads you back to the mini village.
 
Thanks. You are correct, I completed the Sea Dragon Temple, and got the boat. I have already tried going mini to finding the path back to the mini village, but no luck so far, maybe I have missed it, I will keep looking. Is it near the southern entrance to the Viking cave? Or further east nearer to the mountains?
