Stuck: Demon Gate

I've read some boss guides online but I'm still stuck. I'm on level 35 and I don't have Big Guard nor Barrier (wich few guides would recommend to have at this stage). I do have Cure2 and an All-materia linked to it but I still have problems with this boss.

Should I continue with my older save (before I'm in the temple) to level up and to gain some more magic or can I defeat Demon Gate without them?

Any strategies would be nice as well.

man you are a good enough lv
i had like 800 hp and he was hard
but i was lv 19 though lol
okay if you keep ALL your party member at the back then you take less damage
although what is your hp?

All 3 have over 1000 HP..

you should be able since his attack do less than 1000 hp damage
if you still have probs then you could go back to cosmo canyon and buy hp pluses

Limit breaks are very useful against that boss. And as Supernova said, having your characters in the back row is a good idea because that will make it much easier to survive.
