did anyone else find the stillshrine of miriam annoying? i dont know why but i despise that place. :S

Yeah that place was pretty annoying, I hated the massive maze thing with the statues. At first I didn't know what to do with the statues so I ended up traversing from one statue to another about 5 times. What's more annoying is while travelling to the Stillshrine for the first time (couldn't afford a Paramina Map) accidentally going to the Feywood instead, and thinking that the Shrine is somewhere on the other side of Lvl 40+ infected woods, fleeing all the way from the north to the south of the Feywood then realising what a tardface I've been.<grr>

It didnt really bother me all that much, I just went round chaining those Skeleton dudes in there. I just get sick of the sight of it after a while because Im in there so long boosting my exp and loot

I did struggle with the stilshrine of miriam when i first played it but after a while it got easy to navigate through. The enemies in there were quite strong as well so it was a good place to raise a few levels.

i think the place is quite nice^^
can achieve incredible chain. the skeletons drop nice loot too.

Personally I think it's one of the worst locations in the game. Nothing about it struck me as interesting, it was just all cold gray stone...they were trying to go for an Egyptian thing but just sorta failed at it.

The worst thing about it was the massive jump in the monsters' levels (same with the surrounding mountains). Everything in the Golmore Jungle was pathetically easy (except that damn boss, but bosses shouldn't be easy to begin with), and then you hit Mt. Bur-Omisace and suddenly you're hit with yetis and dragons and bird things, and then in the Stillshrine...ugh...statues that come to life, zombie mages, killer horses...

Yeah, I hated that place.

The Stillshrine wasn't that bad - its a pretty good place to level up if you in the 20's. The puzzles where not all that annoying either, so I didn't really mind it.

There are far worse dungeons than this one, the hellhole that is called the Great Crystal and the Pharos.

They where much more annoying by far for me to get through than the Stillshrine imo.

I hate the Stilshrine because of its dullness. Tombs are BORING! But my hatred for it is NOTHING compared to the Pharos! So...many....floors....

I found it a great place to level up, although I didn't find it that difficult either, because I'd been training throughout the game. I found the mini-boss the most irritating part of the area, as you had to unequip all metal equipment, and I was seriously lacking in non-metal stuffs at the point ><

I thought it was a great dungeon, long, but not overly long. Difficult, but not overly difficult.

when your done your done

I didn't mind the stillshrine cause once I was done with it I didn't have to go back. Its was an easy dungeon and nothing as annoying as the pharos or the great crystal.

I hated that bastard Vinuskar...I remember I just used a Quickening real quick because I couldn't be bothered to change my equipment or wait FOREVER to be able to attack regularly. -_-

I found the area on the whole not too difficult...so long as you're adequately prepared (as you should be with all RPs). Perhaps a little long and tedious, but that's the way of things, especially when you're playing this game. :monster:

I found myself fleeing a lot from that place, mostly 'cause of dem baloons and other large group of regular monsters. But Vinuskar & Mateus were a breeze, easily killing Vinuskar even with metal weapons, and 1-hit-killing Mateus with a quickening chain.
Still, I'll admit it was quite annoying :)

Besides taking forever to figure out that I had to equip the accessory, it was ok. A good place to make money. I found the rest of the puzzles and fights easy.

The place that was way worse is the one where you fight like 5 plant things as a boss (tomato, onion, etc.) First off, I can't find them again to finish my bestiary and I couldn't figure out the puzzle with the door around the waterfall that's locked....I refuse to look at cheats.

I didn't find it very annoying. The only part that I found annoying was Giruvegan. The constant onslaught of Behemoths bothered me a bit while trying to find each gate stone. The gil was great though. With the theif's cuffs and one of the Monographs (forgot which one) I got rich off of Mythril Golem's Chunk of Iron Ore.

it was super easy i think it was because all my characters were over Lv. 30 and i had a walkthrough ha ha ha...

DO you know the secret route leading to the rare game, Matriarch Bomb?
Edit: Sorry about that. I already knew about it, as I was just asking if others knew. X_X Sorry about the spam post. :sad2:

It was really easy, even the bosses and rare game. You can beat mateus so easily. The annoying thing about it is that it was repetitve, long and not challenging in the least. Other than that, it was ok. I had no trouble clearing it, but then I had trained pretty high.

I don't have anything against it, or any of the other dungeons for that matter.

However, I do have a gripe with the texturing of all of these dungeons: Would it have killed them to vary them a little more? The Tomb of Raithwall, the Stillshrine of Miriam, The Pharos, The Sophon Cave Palace, and even the mines to an extent all had similar textures, and it got a little bland very fast. The actualy locations themselves are very nicely designed, but the textures are where they fall pretty hard.

A lot of games do it unfortunately.
