So I've had Photoshop for awhile now, but I just started using it....yesterday lol Here are the signatures I've made so far:

Sig 1:

This was my first signature, so I was pretty much just experimenting with different brushes and different fonts and getting use to where everything was located.

Sig 2:

I made this by following along with this cool abstract background tutorial I found online. I think it turned out pretty well.

Sig 3:

On this sig, I used the pen tool for the first time. The only thing I don't like about it really is the text =/

Sig 4:

I wasn't all that fond of the colors I used in the first chobits sig, so I remade it in solid grey and green.

I know I still have a long way to go, but hopefully I'm off to a good start! =)

 

[Ringleader Man]

Sig 1: It's not really looking like you did anything with it except slap some text on it.

Sig 2: The designs and text are nice but the grainy stuff on Tifa is really killing it.

Sig 3: It's very boring, the stock is LQ and the effects are not going with it AT ALL.

Sig 4: It's got a good concept but the random effects on it is killing it.

I'd just say keep practicing and you'll get better.

I wanted to say that the comment above me was rather rude, but alright.


1) I like this sig, it shows you were experimenting with brushes, and I like how the grass was done, the stock was placed rather nicely I think and the text suits it, sure it looks like beginner stuff, but I don't have much room to talk, I'm a beginner myself. ^^

2) I have two things to say about this signature.

- It has purple.
- It has Tifa.

This means it has WIN written all over it period.

You say you made it by following an online tut, which I think is cool. Of course, as the person above me tried to say that it's not the perfect effect, and it could've been better, I love how this signature turned out and I think it's really cool you did this yourself while following a tut. ^^ Keep it up.

3) I rather like the text, maybe you don't like it because the colours used in this signature seem to clash with the stock. I really like how this signature turned out, I like the swirly things on it, I like where Zack is placed and I love the text font, and the "Destiny" you used, I think it's just really the background colours, and font colours that don't work so well with the overall sig.

4, 5, and 6) I like how the sigs turned out, I think if I had to choose I'd prefer the first one, I'm not too fond of Chobits, so I personally avoid commenting on something I don't like. But the signatures are good. I prefer version 1, and 3 over the grey though.


You are off to a good start though, Stella, I think you're going the right way, that's how everyone pictures themselves starting off, "shitty/not good enough". But, if you just keep at it on a regular base, and keep practising, you'll become awesome to. That's what I'm aiming for with my sigs to, just finding my own style. ^^

Wow.. I'd agree with Lockhart.. That was rather rude ¬.¬ .. But anyhow..

For 1) I don't feel anything impress or drooling over it. But that's pretty good to start to experiment with it. Hell my first signature it was ugly LOL I agreed that grass does quite look good.

2) That's really awesome The fonts really look sweet too x3

3) Not much to say.. Its Zack Fair.. He own enought said though I agreed text does need work.. But I'll honest with you I do kind expect more than that background. Kinda hate to say it but.. that kinda little look plainish..? I mean its not PLAIN but amlost-to-be?

I'm not trying to be rude or anything.. I don't know how to say I'm just try to help as well..

But 4)5)6) does look good but I'm not fan of that kind anime.. I hence dont know what it call xD I'm big fan of grayish/white that does look good

LockhartAvenue- Thank you for taking the time to comment! =) Your critique and encoragement at the end are very much appreciated. I took everything you pointed out to heart.

Targix- I wasn't too thrilled with the way the background on the Zack sig turned out either =/ I had this vision in my head of how I wanted it to look , but I ended up creating something totally different. I didn't take anything you said as rude though, so don't worry about it =) Thank you for taking the time to comment as well!

Ringleader Man- As Lockhart and Targix pointed out, you did come off a tad bit rude. I know you probably mean well though, so your comments are still very much welcome and appreciated! I don't mind constructive criticism, as long as it's actually constructive and not just criticism.

For some reason, my signatures, don't look as luminous as they do in Photoshop when I upload them here...am I doing something wrong?

Probly cause you saved GIF? Otherwise I'm not sure.. I'm not good at computer lol. But I aboustley love first and second signature. Second's border is aboustely wonderful. Though 3rd that black ground need more glowing or something.. still feel little plainish?

The fourth is wonderful as well

I think version 1 is better than version 2, I much prefer the border in V1, and the signature in general looks less cluttered and squashed together. It could have benefited from some text on the right hand side though, but it's very nice for a newbie ^^

I like this one, but I think it would have been nicer if you did something with the background too, rather than leaving it just black. It's a very pretty concept though, and I love how they glow. xD

Save them as PNG files, then your problem should be sorted ^^
