It's always hard in the beginning when you start something. ;)

It's been said that the end is always the easiest, the journey the most exciting, and the beginning the toughest. Why do you think that's so?

If you ever had the chance to start something, what would it be about?
Not about your personal life, no, anything other than that. ;)

I would personally start my own business chain, possibly my own line of fine retail products.
Either that, or I'll start a revolution to bring back classic rock to the stage, you know what I mean by that.;)

Well the to me the start is the hardest because you don't know exactly what to expect... the journey is exciting because you're just getting into the rythym of things and you kinda have confidence in what you're doing and the end can be easy but sometimes hard especially if you have to finish something you really enhoyed doing.

I don't know what I would start yet.

I don't know. :/ Well when anyone starts their own business it is usually very hard....well duh... I think it gets harder and harder when you expand more and more. Your life is the business you have.

My father business has been around for 26 years now. For him it's becomes harder and harder each year. More costumers are demanding more services, more Condominiums are asking for his service. Then he has the old rich people at the condominiums bitching at him about something stupid. Then he has to deal with stupid cheap rich people that don't want to pay him in time. Then he has to deal with brining them to court. Then he had to deal with an old lady trying to sue him over about something stupid, and of course the old hag lost. His workers have got tickets from the police. In the long run....sure he's making money and he doesn't have to work as much but there is still more stress and problems in involved.

I just think once you start off and your succeeding it's very hard to maintain that. Once you expand more and more it become hard to control it and one day it might fall apart.

If I could start something? Something meaningful? I would write a book. I start many many things, including reading, writing, drawing, projects...all kinds of things...I find that the beginning is the easiest part because that's when I'm most motivated to accomplish whatever it is that I'm after. The end is the hardest; that's the time when you lack motivation.

I think where people get the notion of the beginning being the hardest is the part where you have to come up with the inspiration to start something, but I get your point that the hardest is the end because of the motivation.

But then again, you can get motivated by your sheer desire to finish the thing you started, so it could go either way.

Oh well in that case...like...a school project or something; when you are pressured to begin something without your own motivation...I agree, starting projects like that is hard. XD

Yah, especially if it's a project that you're under immense pressure of completing, such as when it's due the next day or something. Incredibly hard to start because the panic sets in.

It's also difficult to start because most kids are perfectionists anyway, I think. We always want the best projects at hand and we won't settle for anything for less than an A. Well, that's what the kids at my school think anyway.

Depends on what it is, but yes, for the most part I usually find it difficult to start something new. Most of the time it’s for the reasons of not knowing what’s needed, gathering the right tools and materials needed or in some cases, building up enough motivation to actually start. Especially if it’s something I don’t want to do.
