Square Enix Releases Debut Trailer for Nier

Just a few days before the beginning of E3 Square Enix has pulled back the veil on their new action game Nier by launching an official site along with the embedded trailer above. According to the official site players will assume the role of titular protagonist Nier as he fights to find a cure for his daughter who is suffering from the affects of the Black Scrawl virus. Nier is expected to ship in 2010 and is being developed by cavia, Inc.
 
Great! It's been a life-long ambition of mine to see Square get some shabby third party developer to make a bad DMC/GoW clone. Even better, it's brought to us by the company who gave us GREAT titles such as Bullet Witch and Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles!

Wait a second, who am I kidding here. This has run-of-the-mill rubbish written all over it :P
 
So they announce a new game which really does look like a GoW rip off...

and so many people thought that Heavenly Sword was a rip off..
