Call of Duty Black Ops is one of the major titles at this year's E3. The game even managed to make headlines as far from Los Angeles as you can get thanks to Square Enix.

The RPG giant, who serves as the domestic publisher on the Call of Duty games, formerly announced Black Ops for Japanese release today. The game will see PS3, Xbox 360 and PC release here some time this year.

Developed by Treyarch, Black Ops is set in the Cold War and takes players through the Vietnam War and other pivotal events of the era. Activision will release the game overseas on November 9.

Coinciding with today's announcement, Square Enix opened a teaser site for the game. The site is currently without any content.

The hell is this?

My little brothers follows this like mad. So is SE making it?

Nah, Treyarch will develop the bulk of it but will just the leave the voiceacting, dialog and such like to Square-Enix to localise the game. They might host the servers to but I'm not sure. :hmmm:

Ahh, I see.

It still looks pretty cool. I love the CoD series so <3

Well good for Japan.

As long as it comes my way i'm happy :ryan:

COD is a great series, fer sure <3.

When is it coming over here is what i wanna know :mokken:

I'm sure they'll make some extra cash considering COD is a good series so maybe it'll hit big in Japan.

I think it comes out 9th November here, whether or not that's an international date or just a European one I don't know. D:
