when you get to grand pulse find a king behemoth who is alone and spam kill him. Always get a back attack on him. Plus you really need 2 commando on your team are he might have a chance to recover since having two launch is good. He gives ya 4k cp and he takes around 30 secs to kill with back attack.
just finnish grinding him and i have over 400,000cp for each character.
I will in a min use it all.
 
Nice, But for people who cant kill king Behemoth yet, when you first enter gran pulse look around for an area with little bird type monsters. once you have found them. theres 2 large groups theres a group of 6 - 7 and a group of 5-6. Just keep killing these and you can make 6.2k CP in about a minute, this method works i have made 900k CP from grinding this area for about 2-3 hours.

If you want to kill them fast then i will give you my Roles im using.

Lightning - Commando
Fang- Commando
Sahz- Synergist < For Enfrost The birds are weak to Ice also it will make it alot faster if you have haste too.

if you have a hard time with this Paradigm try making a Medic, Sentinel, synergist then shifting to Commando, commando, syn once Fang and Lightning have been Enfrosted.

now all you have to do is just spam blitz while Sahz is enfrosting you, once enfrost you should do about 7.2k dmg per Blitz.

Also if you want quick ways to make Gil try chapter 7 or 9 if u cant be bothred in Chapter 11 do mission 7 and 24 over and over again. Also theres monsters there that drop perfume that sells for 12k a piece.

Once you feel ready enough and ur strong enough try fighting King Admantoise with Good Choice Accessory so you get Platnium bars that sell for a nice 150k a piece, King also drops Traps to let you upgrade a Tier 2 wep to a Tier 3 wep.

sounds cool however what you mean by people who can't kill him.

If you get a back attack and have 2 commandos on your team then he wont get to hit you one time. As soon as you enter grand pulse you are strong enough for it i know because i did and before pulse i mainly ran through the places.

Uh and adding on what you said PEOPLE you should always get a back attack. Then have mage aoe the birdies i can kill birides in less then 15 sec sorties i ever did was 5 secs.

With the behemoth keep him in the air. One time i let him land and he was on the ground for only 2 secs and he was able to recover and stand up on his two feet. I got my ass kick in no time after that.
 
Another option if you've only just reached Gran Pulse are the flans, which offer 440CP each and appear in groups of 3 or 4.

Much easier fights with a more balanced team, and there are more of these gruops available.

Also possible to kill at this stage are groups of 4 - 5 Gorgonospids which will earn you around 3.500 CP per fight, again not as high as above but there are a lot more groups and you don't need to back attack or have a specialised group to deal with them.
 
Yup Back attacks Can help a ton. As Claire said you even either have mages in Team or just use the Commando - Commando - Synergist set up. its up to you.

Btw i figured out if you kill Rangda's fast enough you can make about 12.4k CPs a minute. but all the grinding spots on here are nice. oh yes another good spot im not sure if this is the one your talking about Claire. Is the Famous Behemoth V Wolf Grind spot. if u try this one always attack the behemoth with the wolf or else u will get your ass handed to you on a plate.
 
The best place for King Behemoths is near the save station in Archylte Steppe - Northern Highlands. Just run back and forth from the double battle to the lone Behemoth and you'll make 10,600 CP every minute or two depending on how good your party is.

Another good place I've found is Mah'habara - Maw of the Abyss. Run back and forth from the entrance to the Juggernaut area and you'll get around 3,400 CP per battle (each battle lasting between 3 and 20 seconds).

are when fighting he behemoth and wolf place have, 2 commando and 1 rev. have the one commando focus on the wolf to keep it stragger high but not put him into stragger. while haveing the rev attack the behemonth, and put him into stragger then use the 2nd commando to keep using launch on him so he never lands and can't heal him self and stand up.
when i was first starting out this took me about 25-35 sec to beat them.
know i can kill them in less then 10 secs. uh and you get 6600cp each battle
 
I found that an excellent place to gain CP is after getting out of the archlyte steppe and into the area with the hoplites and bomb type enemies. You can take the left detour to the area where a short cutscene will spawn a Juggernaut (which will overwhelm you quickly first time through). If you select "Retry", all the enemies behind you will respawn! Nothing too hard here, with 3200+ CP per fight.
