[Spoiler] Serah a playable character?

I know this might be art of all the characters but why did they include Serah over there? I find it quite weird to be honest. I feel like she would have been a playable character.

Also in other images some characters are shown posing on some of the sofas in the

Spoiler

Narthex

That is an example. So what do you think about why they put Serah and why did they chosse specifically the

Narthex for some art?

I think they chose it because it's instantly recognizable, as well as having a very sophisticated and classy look. When you get to that point in the game, it makes you go "Ooh! This place" and makes it feel all important (Well, it did for me anyway)!

I think Serah is included with the rest of the cast, not because she was intended to be a playable character (that would totally break the rule of three) but because of how significant she is to the plot. Remove Serah, and you have no game.

it was such a beautiful sight But yah I guess they did put Serah there because she is important haha. But hey there is always a chance of an FF XIII-2 and Im sure we will get to play as her. Oh and yes without Serah it would be hard to understand

Not to be rude or anything but why is this significant? I could post any picture from FF13 and ask why they chose to put such and such characters in it and why it's where it's at. I just don't see the significance.

But one thing I notice about that picture is that Snow and Serah are separated and you see snow looking away and not really noticing she's there. You'd expect him to be all over her but that's not the case. It feels like Serah is an illusion in that picture.

It would be good if you could play Serah, but you can't. I agree with "chatua", that she acts an illusion in the picture. The fact that Snow looks away is odd too. But, I don't get why Serah is in this picture, maybe it's too show all relevant characters.
