Splitting EXP

Oh jesus, i'm only lvl 45 and thats taken me forever. I was watching some video on youtube for how to defeat Zeromus, the guy's party was lvl 65 and they all had around 4000 HP without bubble........that's just gay.

I really wish SE had thought the whole EXP/leveling thing through, i dont think they actually played it or else they would have realized what a hassle it is. And you guys keep talking about soloing an area......i should probably do that with Basch and Penelo. I actually do keep their equipment fairly up to date, they're just in their 20's.
 
I guess Solo-ing a place does seem to be better for those low leveled characters you have in your party. lol.

As for that Zeromus Esper. He was sooo easy for me. lol. I was probably around that same level if I remember correctly, but I had bubble. >_>;;
 
Yeah, i found a vid on youtube where someone fought Yiazmat. Everyone in his party was lvl 99. Everyone had 9999 with the bubble belt...the normal HPs were in the 6000's. Thats just pathetic.

Come to think of it, accessories and armour are pathetic too. Accessories usually (i said usually, that means Ribbon doesnt count) only protect against one measly status, have no elemental defense, and half the amour has no elemental defense either. Thats just plain craptastic.
 
I disagree about accessories. Again I tend to see them with old-school eyes. I see them back in the days when they were added just to give your characters slight advantages. You could equip multiple accessories but no single one ever made you incredibly powerful. It just slightly augmented your power in a specific area. In more modern games, people expect their characters to be unreasonably strong... and although I do like to see it, I'd rather it was my characters that were unreasonably strong via training and hard work than through accessories that cheaply increased stats through extensive bonuses.
 
It didn’t really bother me all that much, but all the same, splitting up experience with someone who’s just a tagalong or guest in the party did bother me.

 Anyway, In all honesty… I don't think I really paid attention to it all that much.
 
I just remembered something that should effectively end this topic.

The accessory Firefly prevents the wearer from gaining EXP. So there ya go, that solves the problem right there. You can keep 3 people in your party and let only 1 or 2 people gain EXP.

I realize that if you have a guest in your party EXP will still be split, but seriously, guests arent in your party that long, it's not that big of a deal.
