Soul of Rebirth.

Did anyone do the soul of rebirth?
The hidden game at the end of FF2 in the Dawn of Souls Compilation.

It was about the souls of people who died in the game

Minhu, Josef, Ricard and Scott

who go through the final dungeon to fight an even stronger version of the final boss.

I for one tried it and thought it was hard as hell. I only got to level 4 of the 10 level tower after I trained for 6 hours.
Did anyone here actually do this dungeon and complete it?

Its not that hard after you teach ultima to minwu since it can kill every monster with no sweat. If you train hard in the first cave after you get the ultima with minwu even the emperor in the last fight can be killed of 2 or 3 ultima.

Sadly i have never gotten to play Soul of rebirth, although i really want to. I heard that they all come back to life at the end of it or something...

Where can I find the Ultima Scroll?
I used it in the main game and there was only one.

I loved FFII, but Soul of Rebirth was a pile of crap for me. The dungeon is about 95% of it, and it's not even a very interesting dungeon, as you've already completed it once before.

It was hard and totally disappointing. At the end, the dead characters

don't come back to life

(not that they should have), but by beating the dungeon,

their souls are able to pass on peacefully

.

That could be a pretty satisfying ending, except for the fact that Soul of Rebirth adds absolutely nothing deep to the original story.

Even the end movie for the dungeon is the same as the end movie for the original game, except with the four ghosts watching the main characters from the sidelines

. Lame.

I especially hate SoR when comparing it to the after-game dungeon you get in FFIV, which is so much more story-oriented and fun.

all you need to do is train your characters with their specific stats e.g minwu = magic, Josef strength etc that is all you have to do thats what got me through it
