These signatures are pretty amazing and particular attention has been paid to both mood and colour blending.

#1 : I love the effects in this signature. The rich colours lend themselves nicely to the displacment effects and the blended C4Ds. I also like the blurred cloud like forms which add an abundance of debth and tonal values.
The text, in my opinion, doesn't do the above aspects justice. It isn't the most legible and the overlay effects detract from its over all form. Also, I'm not fond of the font choice for the "Cersei" text because it doesn't compliment the font below it, since the font is more playful in nature and doesn't provide the same elegant quality as the one below.
The over all layout of the signature is a little flat to my personal tastes and in regards of the subject matter I question the washed out appearance of Cersei's trademark golden locks.

#2 . What I love particularly about this piece is the text and background. The focal point is given room to breathe and although the render gave many option with which to explore flow and movement, I think the pared back approach worked in this instance. The canvas appears full but not cluttered. The unfocused background is a lovely touch and lends an air of romaticism to the signature.
I personally would have left out the lens flare since, in my opinion, they look a little tacky. A little bokeh might have worked better as it could produce more depth and lighting.

In the end I voted for #2 since I felt it had more of an impact on the viewer and the "final fantasy" and "Fran" text were placed well and worked together nicely.
