Sora and Roxas

I heard once that there was a reason or meaning behind Roxas wearing white and Sora wearing black in KHII, It always made me wonder why such a lighthearted character like Sora would be chosen to wear black for this game? Is it because the Heartless form he couldn't control? or was it just done to be done? Roxas seemed like the darker of the two so I always thought he should have been wearing black instead, although Sora is a little bit of Light and Dark.

I faintly remember an interveiw with Tetsuya Nomura on the contrasting outfits but can't remember for the lifr of me, hopefully I'll get some answers here.

Honestly, the appearance of their outfits never meant much to me, let alone being contrasts xD

Although I'm curious to know what Nomura said about this now that you mention it

I figured the outfit for Sora just meant time had passed. Riku and Kairi have different outfits as well, so meh *shrugs*

For Roxas, I assumed since he's always wearing a black robe of the Organization, his "regular" outfit, the outfit he wears during his 7-day alter-ego, would be radically different, since he does sort of have 2 lives within the one year of his physical existence O.O

Makes sense, I just remember T.N. saying their was a "special" reason for the contrast, or that ii was meant to contrast at all. Maybe someone has the interview or a KH ultimania.

I wasn't going to buy that game but now I guess I'll have to, yeah I heard of the Ventus guy, he looks just like Sora, scratch the blondeness though. So Nomura was thinking that far into the series then?

Same here. I never really was bothered by it tbh. I guess i never really looked into it but I do agree that I think Roxas was the more darker one out of him and Sora.


That being said, I do want to find that interview

well i really cant say to much about the contrast between sora and roxas clothes more over i guess i never though about it ya'know i just kinda though of the costume change to match sora's older body cuz we all know how he looked in his old clothes XD
