I'm noticing that ppl call her Aeris a lot, but the other ppl call her Aerith. I thought that I should make this thread as a poll but it's better to sort this thing out. SO IS IT AERIS OR AERITH FOR PETE'S SAKE?!
 
It has always been Aeris by default when i played FF7 but i noticed it changed when i played KH, i thought they changed it out of some sort of twisted respect for her cus she died and they brought her back.

Yeah brains are pretty cool. I have done alright without one so far though :)

I think its safe to say that her name is actually Aerith now though, as its all over the new stuff thats come out. She will always be my little Aeris though.
 
In the Japanese FF7 it's spelled Aerith. It's an anagram of "earth".

However, the Japanese pronounce it 'Aerisu' because they can't make the 'th' sound.

You can call her Aerith in English, but personally, I fucking hate the lisp. So I still call her Aeris.
 
Her name is Aerith, Aeris was a mistranslation, and now they're trying to correct it by calling her Aerith everywhere Else XD

Ive always spelt it Aeris. It really doesnt matter which you chose to use.
You cant really sort it out, its up to the individual.

Because Aeris was a mis-translation of Aerith and there trying to correct it? everywhere else her name is Aerith, in AC, KH, KH2, KH COM and CC.

So Aerith is the correct way to spell her name :D
 
I think that Aerith is a soft name ^_^ it has a soft ending. Yooo seee every time I hear that name I start thinking about a fluffy bunny...

To uninformed people:
Aerith -- Air--ith
Aeris -- Air--iss/ or worse yet. -- Er-is.

But truly in my opinion, it's Aerith, because that's the Japanese version and FF is Japanese. ^_^
But like AG said, it really doesn't matter.
They're pronounced the same way.

Of course if you look at it from a visual perspective...I'd see where you're coming from.
 
Well since they didn't actually say her name in AC you'll have to wait till CC to learn how to say her name properly :D but it's Aerith again in CC
