So what kind of game is Dissidia?

It's a fighting game with a story mode.

2 players can connect through wireless PSP link, or online play. I think... I don't own it, but that was what all the news until this day has told me.

How do you mean? Like battle people using a NA version of it against a Japanese version of it or something?

If so, then I believe you can, though nothing has came to confirm it, as info on NA and Europe releases are still pending.

Oh I see. Well I don't know about that. Perhaps through wireless to another PSP or something you may, but I'm not sure on that one.
May be that you both need the game.
 
Its a fighting game like tekken but it's not set up like tekken. The game that it most reminds me of in terms of style is like dragon ball Z cause you can jump around and the camera follows just like in dragon ball. It also has a kingdom hearts fighting feel too and because of all this I'm going to get it for sure TIDUS ALL THE WAY!

I feel kinda skeptical about this game. With the DBZ style fighting I do enjoy it, but it becomes so monotonous after a little while. Only thing that is drawing me towards it is FF slapped on the title but other than that it doesn't have much appeal to me. Well at least certainly not enough to drop the 40 bucks I'm certain it will cost for it.
 
Dissidia is a Final Fantasy Fighting game that you could take either heros or villians. Villians can not be selectable in story mode only heros. Yes 2 people can fight eachother wirelessly or online!!! Yeah Dissidia is like one of the greatest games ever!!!

I think that it would be interesting to see the oposite side of the story to the heros. And if it is a good always triumphs over evil kind of thing... well, they could always set it up as when you win, there is a scene that shows the demise of the villan. Maybe in a different way than the scene you unlock when you do a hero story.

How am I not sure? I have the game and I know that you can fight wirelessly or online against other players. Dissidia is just great and I do not know when I will stop playing it maybe if a sequel comes out. Yeah it would be interesting to take the villians in story mode for once.
 
I think this game is gonna be short lived. Fighting game with FF characters sounds like it will get boring within int he first hour of gameplay. Prolly not worth how much it will cost to get it.
 
I guess I just don't see the potential for it to be that great of a game. It really isn't a reason for me to keep my PSP. But to each his own, I guess.
 
Boring? Yeah right this game is just so good and before you say boring try it out first!!! Also this game got really good reviews and to everyone it is Worth buying. Maybe you guys do not like the Japanese version but The english one is coming out soon. This is the first time someone called Dissidia not worth buying.

It is not worth keeping my PSP for any period of time, is what I was saying.

Not when the thing is useless in the first place.
 
Fighting games become so monotonous after so long so ya I think this game will bore me idk about anyone else but it will bore me cause well I've never kept a Soul Calibur, Tekken, DBZ, or Virtua fFighter game more then a week
 
You mean its not worth keeping your psp for one game? Have you ever heard of Psp iso's that you could download games for fre onto your psp. Oh and I think you should try out Dissidia!!! Try it out and if you hate it just do whatever you want with your psp. I have no clue why you would sell it with all those amazing games out there.

I have. Unfortuneatly (SP?) I have the most updated firmware, which means that Sony patched the holes that allows that... among everything esle that I wish to do with my PSP.

Downgraders are only workable with Firmware V. 3.03 and under...
 
Dissidia is the game I'm mostly looking forward to of all the games coming out at the moment. To me I'm anticipating it more than FF13 and FF vs 13, because seeing characters from FF 1-10 fighting will kick ass.

I've been following this development for ages, and what I've seen on Youtube looks amazing.

If you don't like fighting games, then that is just personal tastes, but I like fighting games occasionally, and I LOVE Final Fantasy, so this game will kick ass for me.

Also, it may get monotonous after a while, but the thing is if you keep the game you will be able to play it later, after several months of not playing it, and sort of renew the experience.
I've never sold any of my Tekken's because they're all fun to come back to, and fun when friends play it with you. Dissidia should be fun to play online for similar reasons.


Sorry if that post was confuddled and unreadable, I dunno if it was, but I'm writing this at the same time as being yelled at for having a friend round that my mom dislikes.
 
Dissidia never ever gets boring for me!!! I play online Dissidia alot so I never get bored. I only get mad when I am on a spree and someone ends my winning streak. I have never sold any of my soul caliburs and Tekkens because they still are kick ass games!!
