So what do you think about the lvl cap increase to 99?

I personally am like "wtf SE?"

Going from lvl 75-99..... all the new gear to grind? All the sub jobs to grind? Man oh man, PLUS: 14 coming out right around the corner.

I have 9 jobs at lvl 75 and all 20 jobs at lvl 37 for whatever subjob flavor of the month...

No way in heck am I gonna grind to 99 on 9 jobs and 49 on all 20. Especially when getting from 75-99 will most likely take as long as 1-75....

I was planning on just grinding in ff 14 and stopping in on xi like twice a week but forget it, im not gonna have time to grind both.
 
Assuming the amount of experience per level doesn't go up past level 76, it won't take the same amount of time to go 75-99 as 1-75.

It will take LONGER. Almost twice as long. Pray to Altana they don't make the amount of exp needed go up each level.

At least it'll give some life to the level 30-45ish armors and weapons. Some. Not enough to really effect the economy as far as I can see.
 
wow the lvl cap is now 99 i stoped playin about 2 years ago and i can only imagine how long that would take i mean the first job you get to 75 takes long then 2nd not so long but now you have to go to 99 wow
 
At first I was really peeved; It took me ages to get to 75, and now LV 99 cap?

But now I'm kinda interested to see how it will all pan out. That means subjob abilities will be more accessible to players, making a few things easier. I dunno if I agree with the simplicity the game has gotten to now, but it will hopefully make for more efficient groupings.

Personally I've been playing for 6 years, and I'm just about ready to put the controller down myself. That's definitely going to be the case when FFXIV comes out.
 
They'll cock it up and itll be very restrictive. Its merely something for people to do until XIV comes out
 
Why doesn't Square-Enix just cut the requirements in half for all the levels across the board. Would this not then in turn lead to more people wanting to reroll as other jobs? Maybe even buying another slot to create a new character.
 
I quit FFX! not long after hearing about the new level cap not because I think it will be overly bad just after years of playing i finally got all jobs I wanted @75(14) I was focused on now on getting gear & work on my second relic. To me the thought of leveling so many jobs to 99 seemed more like a nightmare I still have my mule account with rdm 75 that I might use if anything they add anything that looks fun.
