I didn't see any posts when I came into the section, so I hope I'm not recreating a thread.

I got this game a few months ago (for the ps2) and I just can't seem to want to play it. I've played and beaten KH I and II, but I just can't put the CoM disc into the playstation.

I'm hoping some people who have played it can give their opinions and shed some light on the subject.

Please cover spoilers if possible, I wanna go into it as clean as possible.:gasp:

Chain of Memories was one of my favorite games. I pretty much just liked it for the story though. The battle system pissed me off at times. Also, there is a way to play as Riku, but I won't reveal that. It also sheds some light on Organization XIII and what happened to them. I suggest playing this, then play 358/2 days, because they happen during the same time, except 358/2 days covers what happens a little before, during, and after Chain. Organization XIII was a very interesting aspect of KH. I highly suggest playing it, despite the odd battle system.

Yea, I've been at a sort of empty space when it comes to playing a game these days. But I saw CoM sitting in my closet before I came to work a couple hours ago, and I keep feeling the urge to actually play it.

I really really love KH, story/character/battle systems, so I'm sure if the battle system is a little odd in places I can get through it based on how involving the story is.

And playing as Riku sounds epic.

oh yes chain of memories is a good game if only for the story lol i was horrible at the battle system but dont make that discourage you to play it i still won lol (rikus part aswell XD) but it really helps explain what happened to the other members specifically before khII and during 358/2 days lol its still a good game though

yeah dude. honestly

I like to say ive played every kingdom hearts game, but uhhh....
I couldn't bring myself to finish RE:COM.
I DID play COM, though.... twice. so

its worth a play through, to learn more about Namine, and Sora. and the organization

I always found it pretty interesting the way Sora treats Namine as a friend/love interest, as opposed to the way he treats Kairi as a friend/love interest....

so yeah. play it. the story's pretty good. I just dont see it as replay material.
but then again I never re-do anything

*bump*

The story is very nice, but the battle system is a bit... weird :O I've played it on GBA, but i couldn't get past some big dragon (from beauty and the beast).

The battle system is a Little annoying, but if you spend a little time purchasing cards from the Moogle shops, and setting up 3 Different Decks for various situations, Its a very easy game. EXCEPT some of the boss battles which fall into the TCIACB Trope.

I had three decks, One Pure Attack (With some Healing), The second with TONS of magic and Summoning, and the last a very balanced mix of Magic, Attack, and Healing.

Potions are your best friend in Boss battles.
