What kind of shopper are you? I'm the type of person who'll buy things just because they're on sale, even though I don't necessarily need them.

Example...
I almost spent $100 dollars at Ross last night; even though I was buying around 7-10 things for $100 dollars, which is an incredible deal...my bf stopped me and told me to pick out what was really necessary. So I put back all of the American eagle sweaters that I dug out of the discount rack; even though I LOVE American eagle...and I settled for the necessities, (which I don't know whether to regret or not).

I don't usually buy expensive clothing articles. My favorite stores are discount stores like Ross and TJ Maxx. Give or take a few stores at the mall that I *treat* myself to on some occasions like Bebe and Express. The only store that I buy undies at, however...is Victoria's secret or possibly Macy's...I just don't trust thrift stores for buying my whatnots. o.0
I also buy about 50% of my clothes and shoes on ebay shops. ^.^

When it comes to shopping online, I'm a serious penny pinching jew, but when I'm actually caressing the clothes at a store, I can't stop myself. ^.^

It depends how much money i have. if say after my birthday and Christmas when i have lots of money i have to take Becky to the Mall with me otherwise i would buy a load of Rubbish. She says that money burns a hole in my pocket and that a Girl needs to be there because they know what they're doing with money...

But if i only have a small amount of Money i won't buy anything unless im doubly positivly sure i can afford it :) and even then i hesitate for ages =/

As much as I loooove being a girl, what with the perks of having way better fashion and style than guys do...I have to wholeheartedly object to this statement. Your friend probably has a motherly/sisterly attitude towards you, that's all.
Girls...are *typically* not...good...with money...XD

Wow, I was about to do a shopping thread. XD

Anyways, I can be a shoppaholic sometimes, especially when I shop with my mom. I'm a 'quality' shopper. I buy jeans, shoes and handbags that I know that won't rip easily. I also just buy whatever looks good to me. My favorite place to shop is Union Square, NYC.

One thing is for sure, I buy my jeans at Armani Exchange. Their jeans fit me perfectly, I can't fit into any other brand of jeans. I also love their jackets.

I love Delia's, they have awesome shirts. I love their logo teens! I usually buy junk food shirts. XP

As for shoes....I like the shoe collection at Nordstrom. They have so many varieties of shoes... Some of them are so expensive. :/ Macy's has a nice shoes as well. Most of my shoes are from Macys.

As for hangbags....I could careless about the name. I'm a fan of LeSportsac Tokidoki though. ;D

Beckys not a typical girl XD Shes bossy to everyone O_O she's probably like you though Rhea - online she can resist but in the shops...no.

We went to the town the other day and she dragged me into a bag store

Becky "Isn't this bag cute?! should i buy it?"
Me "Erm, if you like it i guess"

she buys it we go outside.

Becky "you weren't supposed to let me buy a bag remember!" *hits*

While on MSN it goes

Becky *random Ebay link to Shoes/clothes* Isn't this amazing?
Me "I guess so"
Becky "i tihnk ill buy it"
Me "go for it"
Becky "wait...no...its costs to much....but its so pretty..."
Me "then buy it!"
Becky "Nah, ill save up and get it later"

I think all Girls cant resist if the Stuff they want to buy is right infront of them.

I'm the exact opposite, i WILL hesitate to buy it when its right in front of me, but if i see it on like Ebay i'll want to buy it straight away :)

I think I spend way too much money for my own good. xD
I mean, whenever I have money to buy something, say a new video game, I do everything in my power to get my mom to drive me to Wal-Mart, and I buy the game and not look for any bargain prices whatsoever.
I ususally spend all my money in a single outing, especially in an electronics store, but obviously, I can't keep like that forever.

My dad, on the other hand, he's a penny-pincher, he rarely gives me any money and says he 'saves' for everything, such as electricity, water, and driver's training funds. >=(
And he's a radiologist for a hospital, who gets good pay and whatnot.
But whatever.

I guess you could say I'm a penny-pincher. I love saving...even when it comes to grocery. My husband would pick something and I'd chastise him, saying "No no, we don't need that." Or I'd tell a little lie and say something like, "Oh, we still have some at home"...heh, blame it on financial problems. It's only natural to become a penny-pincher if that's the case.

However, when it comes to things that are on sale, it's really tempting, I must admit. I'd buy a thing or two every now and then, especially if it's something for my daughter. =) They've got cute stuff for little girls nowadays. I just can't help it.

I'm shocking when I go shopping. I just buy things for buying sake, and if there's a sale, it's game over Il just sopend way to much. I own clothes Ihave never even worn -__-

I just can't help it. Im addicted to buying clothes and shoes. I love shopping :neomon: Im the same with cd's and dvd's especially when there's a sale. Bloody HMV and it's 2 cd's for a tenner/3 dvd's for 20 quid

I think I spend more when theres a sale on when there isn't...where's the logic in that?

I think I'm both extremes, but definitely nothing in the middle. For my past two vacations, I spent a little over $1000, and most of that was in clothes. I think it's because I never shop that much that I go so wild, that and because I haven't had new clothes in like, ever. It was a good release. :3

Also, I can be a penny-pincher if need be. If I see something that I really want but know that I have a budget, I normally end up throwing a fit in order to avoid buying the item. Whenever I do have a budget though, I normally end up going a little over since I normally chase after those clearances and stuff.

On viewing this thread a beautiful brown leather bag has been advertised starting from 49 quid....oh the temptation....must not click ad that will give my pc a virus -__-

I think I tend to go from one extreme to the other sometimes myself. I either spend nothing at all or too much.....I really do enjoy spending my money though.... But I'l price things up sometimes and think but if I buy this, it's the equivallent of 2 vodkas.....*puts item back and goes for a bvevvi instead*

I am more of a penny-pincher, but it varies on the situation.

When it comes to groceries, I try to buy things on sale and stock up.

Rarely do I buy material things, but when I do, I splurge. Video games are a good example. If I have the money and the game is right there, I just buy it with little thought.

Yeah, when it comes to food I always grab things that are on sale. Pfft, with the price of food going up I'm sure everyone is spending less on groceries.

On my own, I'm a Penny-Pincher but when I comes to my parents money I spend quite a lot. :wacky: My boyfriend, oh god, he's so damn cheap. He's going to be those old men that look poor but have over a million in their bank account.

I'm not much of a shopper. I only really buy food, and other stuff occasionally when I need it. I rarely, if ever, tend to buy more than what I need to live.

Neither really applies to me. I definitely don't pinch pennies, but I seldom shop.

I never look for sales. I just buy what I need and leave.

OH MY LAWD me too. Like when my friends and I had to stock up the condo on Spring Break, I literally wanted to buy like, everything in each aisle. I adore food, especially all of the fruit and vegetables, and I want to eat it all. :3

Glutton: :elmo:

I'm such a shoppaholic! I love shopping and when I have money I feel I should spend it, there's always something I want. I'd love to go to America again (New York) and shop! Take advantage of the dollar, everything would be so much cheaper. ^_^

I try to rationalise expenditure. I don't spend more than what is needed, and only get things that I really want. It's damned hard when you're bombarded with lots of adverts and attractive offers, but still.

Strangely, I don't find it difficult. Most of the stuff they sell you look and sound cool, but they're probably just bells and whistles at most. When you think of it, they sell you lots of stuff that I find particularly useless.

Yeah, I'm not particularly vulnerable to adverts or special offers myself, but I know alot of people are, hence their purpose. It's mostly video games which I find hard to resist. Other crap, I barely notice.
