I'm currently taking a 3D Modeling and Animation class in my college. So, I thought I'd post my progress on here for the hell of it. The first models are free for the public to mock, since I'm just learning here. :P

If you wish to obtain a student copy of Maya, IM me about it.

And now, for the first model. Just don't ask what it is because even I have no clue o_O;

I'm not a big fan of this, so I dont know to much about it, but I think that is pretty naff, its basically a couple of shapes put together I'd be impressed if you could do see 3D final fantasy characters. But you are just starting out and have plenty to learn. I will keep a watchful eye as I'm interested in how much you progress.
 
Haha. I wish...I've only finished the first day. It was only navigation and placing the polygons. :P So of course it's going to look so basic a twelve-year-old can do it.

...which...is actually, pretty ironic, since there IS a twelve-year-old in my class. o_O

I'll look forward to the updates, I'm keen to find out how much you progress with this as I know you're very artistic.
 
This isnt too bad.

It looks like a cross between a binocurlas and a Godly symbol or something..

To get better, you might whant t ogo mad in the Interface of the prog, or go online, and get some tutorials, They might not teach you what you whant, but they can teach you some otherstuff that might be useful.
This is what I did, and you saw my thing.
But im getting off topic.

As said. this is NOT bad for a 1 timer. Having jsut taken up 3D for myself, I know what Im talking about.
It is not just up/down, left/right anymore, there is the frigging Z axis.

so I know what yuo are going through.

Looking forward for the next stuff.
AND, since you whanted some critisism

I have t ogo with taht there arent any "skins" or so on this.
Thats not too hard to do, that is infact the easiest.
but there might be reasons for that. ^^

im actually interested in this. i did a bit of 3d modeling. couldent do it to save my life :P
It will be good to see how you progress and get on.
Keep at it and you will be a pro in no time :D
 
Hey, this looks awesome, I wanna do it.

Hm, can't offer much advice, as I don't know anything about this, buuut, it looks pretty cool for someone just starting out.
