Shadows Dreams (Possible Spoilers)

I heard that if you get all of shadows dreams through out the game that he lives when you complete the game. He died when I completed the game, so obviously I didn't find all of his dreams. Does anyone know if this is true?

That is not true, the only thing the dreams do is tell you about his past and a connection with someone in the game
