I was thinking earlier that whenever I tend to view a thread that is several pages long, I don't usually remember to check the original post. Sometimes I do... but it's often just easier to read the post above mine and assume the thread's been on topic the entire time. However, the problem is that's not always the case.
So, I was wondering if there was any way to freeze the first post of a thread as the first post that was displayed on every page? It's like when you freeze panes in Excel... no matter where you scroll those panes stay in that place. It's the same concept. Does everyone understand what I'm suggestion?
I don't know if it's feasible. I don't know if anyone would want it if it was feasible. I just know that I think it would help threads stay on topic and stay alive longer. Sometimes topics evolve, I get that. But sometimes they become so bastardized by the 4th page in that no one wants to post in the thread anymore because no one knows what it's about.
Just a thought.
