In 2005 scientists discovered a new planet.... It was called 05ZE1102A, then they called it after the Roman Goddess of water, Sedna. What kind of story is planet Sendna hiding? Who used to live there? We know noting about it, but can we at least speculate? What do you think?

I think that there is something living underground of Sedna. Or it could be our spere planet, if the Earth blows up we could live there. Except, there's a problem with oxygen ^ ^

Ugh, you beat me to it :(

Anyway, I haven't heard of Sedna ever since it was discovered. That planet takes about...10,000 earth years for one year, correct? I forget but it is something like that. And it's WAY OUT like, so freakin for away. Hold on lemme find a pic.

EDIT: Here is a picture of Sedna's orbit.

I like learning new astronomy stuff. ^_^

Well, that is quite interesting, but as far as living on it, that might take a while.
We'll have to intercept its orbit at the narrowest possible point or the closes its orbit takes it to our own. Plus it'll probably take us a while to get there.
My opinion --- too tedious for the present....future, possibility.

Plus, won't it be really cold at the other extreme of the orbit?
The one opposite our solar system I mean.

It was actually November 14th, 2003. :P

Of course, but if it takes 12,000 Earth years for 1 Sedna year (wikipedia), you'll be dead long before you have to find out. :P Though, apparently Sedna's rotational period is only 10 hours. My sleep patterns would be seriously screwed up. :(

This is pretty interesting. You guys should check out the Wikipedia entry.

From Wikipedia: "Unlike Pluto and Charon, Sedna appears to have very little methane ice or water ice on its surface; Chad Trujillo and his colleagues at the Gemini Observatory in Hawaii suggest that Sedna's dark red color is caused by a hydrocarbon sludge, or tholin."

No planet-hopping it semse. :( Bummer.

Thank goodness for evolution then. :P

Imagine what humankind would be like living over there.
It's cold as hell <--------- paradoxical, I just noticed, but not editing.. 0_o

But then again, I like sleeping 12 hours, so I'll keep that, thanky very much. xP

Which also means that Jupiter will screw our sleep patterns as well.
You know how fast that thing rotates?!

yeah maybe but only after 100000 years or so... Let me get this straight... Sedna is not a part of our solar system?

You lazy bastard... J/j, I can' function properly without my fair share of the Zzzz's either.

To the limits of my meager understanding, no, no it is not.
