Are the security devices we use in airports and places of business satisfactory? Are those even in our home of ample use?
{Watch that one show on the Discovery Channel about the robbers, I forget it's title.}

I would like to say so, seeing the rate at which national security crimes occur, but then again, what with security breaches, they're quite disastrous if and when they occur.

What are your opinions on this?

I have security at home in the form of an alarm. It does it job alerting th security if the alarm goes off and in turn the security alerting the police if I dont tell them it was a false alarm.

In terms of security in the states, I think you have fairly good security since 9/11... look how many terrorists want to destroy you guys... yet look how many times theyve failed, just like recently with the JFK terrorist attempt.

The airports? Yeah, I would think so, what with the whole "no liquids" on your carry-ons. I mean, they've sure taken a lot of precautions ever since 9/11, don't you think? But still, we could never really know if there's someone out there with a brain of maniac and Einstein who might and could pull something off in order to pass the whole security systems.

As for homes...well, someone can always easily break-in at anyone's houses if proper tools are used. That's why it's good to have an alarm system at your home. Sadly, we don't have one...we should though, since it's Ohio and there are a lot of thefts in the Columbus area. A lot of shootings, murders, rape, etc. I hear it all the time from people.

So overall, we'd all like to think it's satisfactory just to ease our minds. But who really knows, right? Anything can happen in this day and age. Don't let your guard down just because you think there are security systems around you.

Yeh, exactly.

They can make bombs out of anything these days it seems. =\
Only if some genius comes along and snakes around these precautions would there truly be chaos.

I don't have a security alarm either.
We seriously need to get one. I'd hate to find this good computer gone.

So, how's Australia, Clyde, in security?

Australia is quite safe... Airports have strict security in terms of random bag searches, no liquids and especially no snakes! haha... We also have a pretty good border patrol and since Australia is relatively isolated, its easy to find illegals and take them to detention centres to be processed. We have the SAS too

SAS? Secret Air Service.

I find it hard to believe that illegals could cross into Australia what with the Indian Ocean and stuff. xD
From what countries mostly and why do they kick them out immediately, other than the fact that they're illegal, of course. :P

SAS = Special Air Service - Top Special Forces Unit... most Special Forces units around the world base there training on the SAS

Alot of illegals are referred to as "Boat People". They get a rickety old fishing boat from an impoverished country and try to land on our shores. I do pity them but we just cant keep taking them in.
