I admit to have been pretty harsh on FFX but having played it through again, I need to say that I think I was wrong.

There is definate character development in the game and even the voice acting improves.

The scene with Tidus and Yuna at Lake Macalania is gorgeous. X will never be my favorite in the series but after a second play, I certainly give it more credit than I first did.

Anyone else get more from the game second time around?

I actually found it magnificent the first time through. Whenever I play a Final Fantasy game for a second time, I lose a little bit of interest. Final Fantasy Tactics is the only exception. The second time I played it, I noticed very tiny flaws in the voice acting. Although the flaws aren't even noticeable most of the time. I've never seen anyone comment on that scene where the party is at Mt. Gagazet, and Tidus says ''I was looking forward to seeing that statue of Yuna...but I wanted to see it....withYunabymyside.''

Lulz, I've never notced that before...

I think when I play through the game over and over again, I notice more and more flaws in the game, though I've always favoured FFX over any other FF game so a few more flaws won't change my mind about it

Eh, I was disappointed with X the first time I played it, and I was still disappointed the 2nd time I played it.

It has it's moments and sometimes it can be poignant, but overall I wasn't impressed with it at all.

i liked FFX the first way through, but i loved it the 2nd way through. this game will probably always be in my top 3 favorite final fantasies (IX, VII, X), unless of course XIII wows me but at the rate SE is going i don't see that happening.

I'm glad that you liked the game more the second through. FFX is an awesome game that sometimes is underrated. Not saying it's perfect, but it's definetely one of the best in the series.

In terms of plot and storyline, it has one of the best, and likely underrated ones in the series, in my opinion.
Which I figured out during my second playthrough.

Never really caught all the nitty-gritty details during my first run, so naturally when I unraveled all the other stuff during the second run, I realized there was much more to this game than meets the eye.
Sure it's not perfect, but everything's got it's flaws. :D

I loved this game the second i turned it on. IMO its the greatest game ever sure the voiceovers in some parts are dodgy but i love it.

Im away to give FFXII a second playthrough when im on holiday from work, i pretty much hated this game, i completed it then threw it on my shelf. So im gonna see how it fairs when i play it again

When I first got it, I didnt like it because it was differant (I went from FF7 straight to FFX btw) but then I made myself play it and I found out that it was a really good game. It has its moments when I wish the game was never made (getting the sun sigil on chocobo dodger) but overall I thought it was a very good game.

Yes, that's why I am here posting on this forum today. I played FFX when I was 13 or so and it was on my "crap" list.

I'm 18 now and I'm playing it to bide the time and I think it's wonderful. Tidus gets points in my book for being a "human" character. I also liked the story and antagonist. I'm terribly happy it deviated away from FF7 and FF8.

When I first played the game when I was younger; I thought it was terrible because I kept comparing it to other games in the franchise. I now treat FFX as a standalone game and I'm very impressed with the mechanics of it all. This has brought me back into RPGs.

Perhaps it was just me, not quite 'getting it' the first time through. But the second time I paid more attention. I do think it's a game of two halves though, it was only near the end that I actually started feeling any emotional attraction to the characters.

But when it kicked in, it kicked in strongly.

No; you aren't the only one. Did you play it when you were younger? That was my case. At age 13; my maturity level wasn't very high so I didn't "get it" either. 4 years later, I find it the bomb diggity'.

I loved this game as well, I wasn't sure when I started playing it a few years ago now because I stopped playing it during a certain boss battle and found it too difficult to defeat. I started again a couple of years later and was able to complete the game pretty quickly, I really enjoyed it and never got bored of it. The storyline is quite beautiful and the characters are pretty awesome. It's highly addictive in my opinion and obviously the graphics are very well done!

I never found it better than VIII though :P it's still amazing in many ways.

I loved it my first time through, but then again, I’m biased since it is one of my top three favorite FF’s…

Either way, I loved pretty much everything about this one as well, with the exception of Tidus. I didn’t hate him, I just saw him as more of a cry baby then a warrior.
