I went and saw this last Friday with my girlfriend who was pretty keen to see it. I had seen the trailer for it when I went and saw Inception and couldn't really make heads or tails of it, but decided to go see it anyway. It was pretty good actually. Not the greatest movie in the world, but pretty unique and we got some good laughs out of it. Definitely not the worst way to spend a Friday evening.
 
I love the comic and I'm desperate to see this, the word from fans of the comic has been good and the trailer looked great. It's out in the UK properly tomorrow and I'm hoping to see it as soon as I can, can't wait!
 
I saw this last week. Have no knowledge about the graphic novels, but the movie was pretty cool. You could tell it was pretty condensed, but I found it enjoyable for the most part. At first the premise was a little meh for me, but once the true character development got going, it got really good. The random throw backs to various video games, and the underlining sarcasm throughout the movie was fun to see to boot xD
 
the 6 vol comic is much better, there could of been someone better to play scott IMO

it had a lackluster box office from the hype it was trying to buzz around, but it did make more than what the producers and director thought it would make
 
I've read the graphic novels, all except the sixth one mind, so I'm sorta refusing the see the movie until I read it. But I'm hoping the movie'll be good, I mean, I like Michael Cera often, but I'm not really sure if I'm feeling it much for him potraying Scott Pilgrim, but I'm gonna see the movie and let it act as a test of Michael Cera's acting skills and see how he pulls it off.

Seeing it hopefully on Saturday as a pressie to my fella. We both love the graphic novels, so I hope the film lives up to our high expectations lol. From what Ive seen it looks awesome. What annoys me is when people discover its based on a graphic novel and act like they knew, so when you chat about it, their facial expressions go "Uhhhhhh....."

oh gee i wonder exactly what i spoiled seeing as how the director and producer made that bit of information well known. Oh gee i can't believe i actually gave away crucial information on what actually happens at the end oh gee considering you already read the comic and know the ending to that you can't possibly be spoiled by something i didn't give away

Why be a smart arse? I didnt know that and Im sure others didnt either. Yes I do have the comics and yes I know how it ends. But I didnt know that the ending was changed in any way shape or form. So gee, dont be a smart arse? As for the rep, how was I being a baby?
 
I saw it today. It's a lot of style and not too much depth. The runtime being the big constraint, you just can't fit all six books into one film really, so it has to skim over the surface somewhat, which is the one major flaw of the film. Luckily, the style is absolutely fantastic, I don't think I've seen a film quite like it, they really nailed the feel of the comic and the way it's done. Edgar Wright deserves huge credit for his directing here. The fights are excellent of course, as is the soundtrack. The cast do very well (especially Kieran Culkin as Wallace) with the all-too-little screentime most of them are given. Michael Cera is the weakest link (as much as I disagree with the amount of internet hate he gets), but he grows into the role as the film goes one, and he is great in the fight scenes (oddly, considering Cera is the archetypal 120lb weakling). So not a perfect film but very enjoyable, and the Universal logo at the start was almost worth the admission fee alone (well it made me laugh!). Here's hoping it gets some cult success going on DVD.
 
i saw it like the second day it was out and i loved it! i posted a review on my facebook. would anyone be interested in reading it? i could just copy/paste it into a post
