Do you like taking school pictures?

It actually annoys me. I have to get out of the house to take my photos, which only last half an hour by the way, pay fifty dollars for a couple pics, then drive home. It's a complete waste of time. I like the system that was used in my home country lol. The photographer goes to you and then takes pictures during class.

You get to skip a couple minutes of class and it doesn't take time away from your free time.

I HATE school pictures.
It takes time out of your day and I just hate pictures of myself.

Yes, the school pictures annoy me. My biggest problem with pictures in general is that I can't smile in a picture unless I'm genuinely happy, so I usually seem stoic or I'm frowning is such pictures. And if I smile and i'm not happy then it looks akward. My senior pictures really annoyed me mainly because my mom, who was paying for the pics, wanted me to keep retaking them because she didn't like them.

I don't see the point in them - we all have to line up in the hall get an individual picture and then get a class picture - i hate it because you have to look all smart and you have retarded photographers telling you to smile.

I always tried to be absent on picture day. And on retake day. ^.^
But I thought the little sticker pictures were cool. You could hand out stickers of yourself and trade them, and stick them on your binder and stuff. ^.^

Didn't care for me. It was like any other picture so I just flashed the grin, and moved on. We got stupid ID cards in high school, but we never used them for anything. They always made a big deal about always having it on you at all times, but I never saw mine after they handed them out, because I always tossed it deep into my closet when I got home.

That's true, same here. You have to show them when you ride the bus, you show them in pep rallies (NOT), you have to show them in the library...I mean there's all this junk that they say you have to do to get stuff, but usually they just let you pass and be on your way. Talk about reinforcing the rules. xD

To ride the bus? For real? That's crazy. We could just hop on whatever bus we wanted to and get off wherever we wanted. I think the only thing really usable for the ID cards were to check out library books IF you wanted them. Even if you didn't have it on you all you had to do was tell them your name.

Ack, hate them. We stand in an extremely long line in the middle of August. Toasted chickens, we were. I'd say we'll spend about 2 hours standing in line before we can finally go in the cafeteria and take our pictures for the yearbook, ID, or any personal keepsakes.

It's so boring, especially if your friends are not in line with you and you're stuck between two idiotic guys. They usually do it by our last names...for instance, A - C will go on a certain date, then D - G will go on the next date, etc.

So yeah, hate it.

Haha, yeah, on the bus. They can't enforce it though, and after a couple months, the bus drivers just forget about the whole ID thing anyway. xD
I mean, what's the point? If the kid wants to go to school, then let him, it's only good, why check in the mornings and turn him or her away when he or she doesn't have it?

Crazy. xD

Also, Mitsuki, 2 hours is a lot...couldn't you guys wait in line in the gym or something? o.0
That's a bit...extreme.

Wtf you had to show your ID cards to go to the library and ride the bus?
The only thing mine was good for was going first through the lunch line. But we had open campus, so there was really no point in farting around with the lunch line. o.0

To heck with my school's ID cards then. xD
They forget eventually, but the whole administration is so strict on ID cards on the first few weeks of school that it's not even funny. o.o
And when you break it, it's like....15 bucks to get a new one.

I don't think I've ever even HAD a school ID. XD
Everyone is like "supposedly" supposed to have one, but no one really does. XD

You had to wait that long to get your picture taken Mitsuki? That's insane. They would call us out by homerooms and grades and it took us a total of like...15 minutes to go through our homeroom.

Yep. The bad thing about it is that it's done even before the school year starts. So we basically have to go to school during summer vacation just to stand there in the heat and take our damn pictures. =/

Now, your system sounded like the one we had back in 7th and 8th grade. :P But once we get to high school, it's totally different and stupid.

I actually liked our school pictures because it got me out of class for like a half hour. No it didn't take a half hour to take a picture, but I didn't go back to class right away. I also liked picture retake day, that was another 30 min I got to ditch class!

^ See, that's the kind of system I wish they'd implement in our high school. xD
It doesn't take out personal time, and since it's school related, it definitely should be classed as a during-school activity.

I dislike school pictures. When I was a senior in High school, they made you take your picture in July. We had to dress up and wear this ugly black robe. You had to look all serious and grown up. ;(

Thank god school pictures are over, only thing pictures I have to worry about now is college IDs. As for college pictures, I always tired looking worst as possible.
