Just a little test. Showing some of my writing ability on the forum with a short story, sci fi thriller thing I came up with on a whim. I was thinking of posting a long term story of mine on here, but I'll post this instead and see what kind of reaction I get. Comments are greatly appreciated.

"Sentinel Automated Targeting Anima Neurocenter. Also known as S.A.T.A.N."

The woman spoke with emotionless, deep blue eyes. Her hair of the same color and hue. She was dressed in a strange suit of armor, made in a tinted white color. It partially meshed with her body, the torso bulked out a bit more, most likely to provide more defense. However, there really was no need, as she was far from any battle, as it was rare she ever was included in one, though she was more than qualified for any field job. She spoke into the recorder emotionlessly, her cold eyes looking through the clear glass door. The sort where she could see through but those on the other side would be unable to see her.

"Human body kept and preserved on the Surface. Human name disclosed. Time of mortal death...June 6th, 2006. Current date, August 5th, 2113. Mortal living span...18 years. Shot and killed. Murder. Investigation closed due to insufficient evidence. Biological age...125 years."

The woman paused as she looked through the screen, viewing a body laying on a table with several people dressed in white, apparently doctors or surgeons of some sort, simply standing off to the side with their hands clasped together.

"Taken out of preservation 1200 hours ago. All organs well preserved. Will be removed and donated to the Medical Research District. Current condition...deceased. Beginning of operation...1:32 AM."

Pressing the stop button with her gloved index finger she gently set the recorder down on part of the wall, sticking out from the bottom of the window. With her right hand, she then pressed a button, where there was a buzzing noise heard from both sides. "Begin the operation."

The doctors nodded at the screen, which was where the woman was standing. The sound remained on as it was planned ahead of time for the doctors to record the procedure. While the woman watched on with her arms down at her side, the tools were placed on a small table just beside the operating table where a nurse stood present. The head doctor stood on the side, next to where the nurse was beside the tools. He really was there to oversee the operation and if something unforeseen happened, he would move in to correct the mishap.

Three doctors began putting large needles into the dead body, sticking out one foot each, at least. Clear plastic tubes were on the ends of them and connected to a large empty tank, which had about five inches of purified water. The needles were placed only a few centimeters from one another, protruding through the flesh, covering the entire front half of the naked body.

"Removing all organs, blood, and muscle tissue from patient into donation tank." said the doctor, overlooking as all sorts of different colored objects made their way through the tubes, which widened to make room for any particularly large objects to make their way through properly.

Through the organs, none of them stayed completely intact but were in effect, torn apart as it was attempted for the organs to go through the entire tubes. This was where surgeons would open up the flesh and slice or tear apart the organs to fit through those needle tubes, even though they lengthened or widened to fit. This was the most putsy part of the operation, as it was manual and naturally took a bit of time. Though the needles took care of the blood and muscle tissue quite easily as the blood was a pure liquid and the muscle tissue would be sucked in strands at a time.

From the opposite side of where the head doctor was, two surgeon's left and pulled in a strange machine which rolled on wheels. There was one large needle which came out from it. One of them inserted it into the side of the man. They had to move fast since with nearly all of the tissue, blood and organs removed, the body would in a sense deflate from nothing being inside, making the body unusable. The machine made a low humming noise as the two doctors held the thick needle in the side of the patient firmly for what was recorded as 30 minutes. Taking the needle out, the strange contraption was put back to where it was inside the sterile room.

The head doctor stared at the patient who did not move and certainly had not for many years. "How are the signs?"

A person at the end of the operating table held a strange object in his hand which had a screen being most of it, so only the doctor could see it. "The nanomachines are finding their designated positions and jobs. It takes five to ten minutes for them to settle and begin reprogramming."

The team simply waited patiently. Though it was only a short time, it felt like it had taken forever. Each of them sweating from their foreheads, occasionally patting their head with a wet cloth. A high toned beep came from the object the person had before. "Nanomachines have begun programming. With taking their specific occupations, they have taken the place of the organs. Amazing sir...this is far beyond what stem cells were capable of. They could recreate a clone of a particular organ but never replace something so vital. Even under an ordinary microscope you couldn’t see these machines."

The man on the end certainly seemed excited for what was taking place. As was the reason for the rest of the doctors being quite nervous. The head doctor nodded his head in direction of the ecstatic man on the end of the operating table. Ignoring his small rant, the doctor asked, "Any brain activity?"

"Faint but visible. It's increasing slowly. The machines are certainly doing their job. May I ask exactly what putting the nanomachines in his body to replace his organs will do? How is this going to be beneficial at all to the organization?"

The head doctor answered automatically. "The nanomachines replace all of the patient’s vital organs and do the same job that they did except nanomachines cannot be destroyed. We placed a large set amount of free nanomachines to repair any plausible damage done to his body. As you know the only remaining human organ he has left is his brain. Now on to the next procedure. Order the remaining free ones to devour his bones. You two, continue setting in new free nanomachines as automatic repair."

The ones ordered continued with their jobs, injecting the large needle inside the side of the man as apparently, the other nanomachines were commanded to do what they were told. However such a thing was not visible, the free nanomachines, constantly being put inside the man, were most likely healing any possible damage being done. He then ordered the two on his right to expel the other machines. Grabbing a flat tube with a metal box connected to the other side, both of them firmly placed the opening of it on the other side of the patient. The flesh had suddenly burst open as loud, strange noises were heard inside the box. After about a minute, it finally stopped and they released the tube, both of the doctors letting out a sigh of relief. Automatically the flesh repaired itself, as when the two doctors came back, it was as if the flesh was never burst open.

"How are the machines doing now?"

The young doctor at the end with the vital reader checked. "They are working at 30% capacity, more than enough. These things will never have to use full power if he stays like this. What is next on the agenda doctor?"

He shook his head. "We finish taking the readings and then we're done until further notice. A successful transfusion from cryogenic freezing was all for this operation. Now check his brain waves."

The other doctor nodded, "Let me switch here..."

He let out a gasp as his head bounced back, viewing what he saw. The lead doctor had a concerned look in his eyes. "What...what is it?"

"His brain waves are through the roof! They were barely enough to be considered functioning before! All readings are abnormally high!"
“Let’s just calm down.” said the head doctor. Walking towards the patients’ head, he looked down at the young man. From the long, ragged, and course black hair to his peacefully closed eyes, physically nothing was different. Walking away from the man, he kept his quiet, stern expression. “His brain is just rebooting, so to speak. He’s still in a coma, there’s nothing to worry about.” One of the nurses looked at the young man’s face, though she jumped back when she saw his eyes suddenly open, showing their bright azure haze. “Doctor…his eyes are open.” “What?”

The body on the table then began to shake and twitch in random spots. It was not planned for the body to be functioning under those conditions. The men and women around the patient began to back away slowly, concerned for what exactly was going on. Suddenly, the top half of the man stood straight up. The leading doctor seemed to be the only one who still kept his head.

"Hold him down! Lock his legs and arms!"

As each of them attempted to do so, there were at least two or three people on each limb, struggling to hold it down. His left arm threw the two doctors trying to restrain that limb into the air and slammed them against the wall. Bringing his two feet together, the doctors bashed heads and fell to the ground. Throwing the nurse and other doctor to the ground, he grabbed the lead doctor by his temple and raised the rest of his body up in that proportion. The man's fingers then went through the doctor’s skull, blood seeping down his fingers and arm. Tossing the doctor aside, he easily threw him into the wall in front of the now awake, naked patient.

From the other side the woman pressed her palm against a red button, a loud buzzing noise going through the halls outside. Her eyes stayed steady on the carnage going on inside the operating room, unfazed by what was happening, perhaps even uncaring. The man stood up on his feet which touched the cold tile flooring. He pumped his fingers into the chest of another doctor, causing him to cough up blood before tossing him against the ceiling with one arm and falling back into the ground, whilst pressing tightly where about his heart would have been. The door had then slammed open with soldiers in white and orange, skin tight attire, racing for the patient. Seeing this, he punched one of the soldiers in the shoulder, where he was thrusted into the corner wall. Another had the soldiers’ weapon smashed against his skull, where the black machine gun was split open by the attack.

More of them poured through, those with different guns. A blue electrical energy came through the guns and pulsated through the body of the man. Orange glowing bindings were put around him as well, like some sort of binding energy. Certainly regular hand cuffs would have done little to stop that beast of a man. Unconscious, the body of the patient levitated as he was brought out of the room with soldiers swarming around him. The woman from the other side continually stared through the glass window, never missing a moment of what transpired. Slowly picking up her recorder again, she spoke into it with her soft and gentle voice. Before pressing the record button, she moved her bangs from the side. With how her hair was, her dark violet bangs were laid heavily on both sides of her face, hanging down below her chin.

"Transfusion of patient was successful. End of operation...3:21 AM. The patient became fully functional and lost control. Several casualties yet to be recorded. Patient was restrained and will be placed in quarantine. Further physical and neurological tests will be done to alter physical offense, defense and regeneration including mental knowledge capacity, memory, mental energy and ether structures."

She turned away from the where she spoke into the recorder and had taken a sigh, looking at the blank walls. A strange look of concern came over her eyes but she returned to the recorder, speaking into it once again.

"The base Sentinel Automated Targeting Anima Neurocenter or S.A.T.A.N. project is complete. Code name...Abel."

Pressing the stop button, she silently walked out of the room, closing the door behind her on her way out of the empty, white room.
