Can anyone give me a guide on how to defeat Ruby and/or Emerald weapon ? if you can thanks in advance

The easiest way is get the Final Attack materia and pair it with the Phoenix materia on the character who dies least in your party.
Or if you want to put more time into it Master the Final Attack three times and have each character with it paired with a mastered Revive materia.
This gives your characters up to five extra lives so you can survive Air Tan Storm. Also remember that move does 1111 damage for every piece of materia your character has equipped so have 8 or less materia with maxed health and you can survive it anyway.
For fighting ruby kill two of your characters before going into the battle so he will immediately put his tentacles down and wont use the sand whirlpool to remove your characters for a while.

And you can also equip quadra magic to knights of the round and thats also an easy win with Ruby at least. With emerald yes I suggest equipping phoenix with final attack, and also equipping a character with quadra magic and knights of the round and then another character with mime, so effectively you are using knights of the round eight times. Takes some time but its an easy win.
