Help Rocket Town Problem

I have just completed Mount Nibel. The 2 guides that I have read said that the next step is "On the world map go West and circle around the mountains until you're able to go Northeast. Directly ahead of you should be a town." That town is Rocket Town.

My problem is that no matter what I do I cannot find a way to get to Rocket Town. I am blocked by mountains and a river.

Please Help!!!!

I'm not really sure what to tell you here...perhaps follow the mountains carefully and you'll eventually find a break in the chain. I remember Rocket Town being fairly obvious (with the big rocket and all), just keep looking and I'm sure you'll find it.

Don't you just run up north and its there? There should be a dot on the map, a little ways above nibelheim, just aim for that, its like, not far away at all

Yeah after you fight materia keeper go down the path he was blocking and you'll hit the world map. A little walk away is the town you seek. Maybe your exiting the mt nibel area wrong.

Yea i just remember running north, thats weird what your guides told you to do.
