Restocking?

Hi i am new here!Ok i just got this game....i know its late....but anyways its been pretty fun but the problem is that i have some characters like alchemists and others and they cant master any new abilities because the shops dont have the weapons for them. I think that sucks, that you can do it by linking all the time witha link cable or someone else to link with, which i dont. So i was wondering how will I EVER get new abilities if i CANT buy them. I heard that stores restock very late in the game again Can ANY ONE TELL ME WHEN? OR LIKE AFTER WHAT MISSION? OR IS THERE OTHER WAY I MAY BE ABLE TO GET THOSE OTHER COOL WEAPONS AND ABILITIES I HEARD ABOUT LIKE EXCIBILUR AND SO ON....?

Also do u think i should choose a alchemists over illusionists?

hmmm they do restock after the part where you get that town that doesn't have any rules or judge masters

Yeah other than that, the restocking comes at random points. Also when Nono (Montblanc's brother) tells you he has new goods to trade, most of the time they are good items that are cheaper than the stores sell them for.
