PS3 to get Final Fantasy XIV beta during phase two [4/10]

During an interview with latest issue of Dengeki magazine, Final Fantasy XIV Producer Hiromichi Tanaka has said that beta rights for PlayStation 3 users most likely won’t arrive during the first beta phase, but right around the second.

“We may not make [the PS3 beta] in time for phase one of the beta,” Tanaka told Dengeki, “but around phase two of the beta we believe we will be able to support PlayStation 3.”

According to Tanaka, “phase two of the beta is where the game will begin to change based on the feedback collected from the alpha.”

He also believes that “phase two of the beta and onward will see the game get updated and become vastly different.”

So let’s get done with alpha and beta phase one, why don’t we?

Same i'm hoping it's about £5.00 a month -ish so I can afford it . Being paid miniman wage sucks :/. So far I have really high hopes for this Game ^^

If they charge some bullshit WoW $14.95 a month thing, I'm out.

The most I'd let them charge me is $7.50.

It will have pay monthly fees without a doubt, however, I don't think they'll charge too much. Especially given that they were in court not so long ago because of extra fees and stuff, and charging too much also narrows the target audience down hugely.

I do not think they will charge for the beta though right? I hope not because I wanna feel the game for myself first without paying. If you have to pay for a beta that just sucks ass.

I kinda wonder how they'll handle payment for people playing both this and XI, like if they'll charge the cost of both subscriptions put together or give a discount or something for people subscribed to both.

Wow, can't believe how close it's drawing, still, FFXI weren't released too long after FFX so I guess this is kinda to be expected. Still, looking forward to it, I cancelled my FFXI subscription not too long ago so I'll be able to save up to pay for FFXIV.

And yes, there will definitely be subcription fee, going by the graphics it'll take quite a good server, good to hear it could be cheaper though.
