I am trying to complete an essay using one of the topics I had found in science fiction but ti be honest I don't what my professor is looking for. Can you guys help me understand the project requirements so that I can figure out what I am supposed to do.

Research Paper Requirements and Directions
The Final Research Paper Project Requirements:

Compare/contrast a novel from this list and
1. another novel from the same author or
2. between this novel and a movie version of the same, or
3. between the novel and another novel on the list.

You are required to have at least 6 solid, reputable, scholarly sources that you will use in the research project and for which you will also provide a Works Cited page and a separate Annotated Bibliography—no Wikipedia, Encarta, online dictionaries, and so on.

Remember, the Final Research Project requires:

1. library assignment
2. outline/rough draft
3. annotated bibliography
4. final presentation


You can present the text of your project in any of a number of methods, including a traditional essay form, a PowerPoint presentation, a video/DVD presentation. Throughout the quarter, you will be working on this presentation. Process work is required for all methods; no final project will be accepted without a library assignment, Annotated Bibliography, and rough draft or outline.

Because both your final project and the Annotated Bibliography are based on this text, be sure you select one that you find particularly interesting. You will be analyzing the novel in depth throughout the quarter, so be sure it’s a book and author you enjoy.

All writing, especially the Annotated Bibliography, should follow MLA format.
