Help Problem Before Fighting Sephiroth

Hi everyone, ive just signed up to the forum.

I have a slight problem and im not sure if i can get around this.

I am at the build up to fighting Sephiroth.

I slipped down the mountain and used the item to create a save point. This is the only save i now have. After fighting Sephiroth i died, basically not strong enough. When i load a new game im back in the beginning of the Northern Cave.

Is there anyway i can get back to the world map? or am i stuck like this?

Il move this over to the help booth for you

and you can get out, you just need to climb back up the way you came in, it's either straight up or right, one or the other, but you CAN leave
 
Thanks, just figure it out, i would have spent hours just thinking that i would have kept slipping back down hehe

Also whilst i think about it, i get an item as soon as you go into the Northern Cave which allows you to create a save point, i was foolish and more or less used it straight away.

Is there anywhere else i can obtain one of these, as its like an hour between my save and actually getting to Sephiroth.

I dont think that there are anymore of those. Just hope that when you are ready to battle him again, you are READY to fight and win, or you will have to make the long walk over and over
 
Nope, that was the only one, you should really have saved it til you got near the bottom :wacky:

Do you have another save file you could reload? It'd be a pain to get down there and die again. Go train for a bit, build your levels up, although you should be able to beat him at 56... tbh. It's just wether you wanna risk trekking back down there
 
When i got the Create Save item i presumed i was nearly there lol.

To be honest i actually killed him, then a new Sephiroth appeared and i died straight away as Cloud was the only one left and i had no Phoenix down left hehe.

Im not too sure how far away i was, after first killing him.
 
Just go stock up on phoenix downs in that case then and you should be reet
 
Tips

if your having trouble defeating sephiroth i have a few tips for you:
1. make sure to get clouds ultimate weapon from ultima weapon
(if you cant catch him just follow him around until he stops near cosmo canyon) this will also give you a way of getting the typhoon materia from the ancient forest without a green chocobo
2. Master Your Materia! a very good tactic is to master 3 speed ups, an HP up and the double cut materia then equip it on cloud with his ultima weapon
3. The pheonix summon and final attack work extremely well together just make sure there linked
4. for bizzaro sephiroth using all the parties shouldnt be a problem seeing as you only use clouds one in the final fight so just focus on clouds until you beat him
5. only healing and status summons have any use in the later game so dont worry too much about them unless you have a huge magic stat
6. limit breaks will most likeley save you a few times in the final fight so make sure to get the level 4 manuals for your main party members

The party i always use is cloud, Barret and vincent they seem to work best with me so i dont know about anyone else

To be honest im quite shit with materia, never knowing what to link etc, this sounds stupid, but the only real magic i have ever used thus far is Cure All.

Apart from the odd other thing, thats all ive really ever used to this point.
 
wow you must be pretty strong if youve managed to get up to sephiroth without materia
ok il give you some good combinations that should help:
Make sure there linked

Cure + All
Final Attack + Pheonix
Element Attack + Ice/Fire/Lightning
Regen + All
Protect/Shell + All

Using the mega all works wonders ans soes the double cut materia especialy if you master it (it becomes 4x cut) full heals good aswell
protect and shell is essential if you want to beat sephiroths supernova attack
 
I didn't find him difficult with cloud at level 60 red xii at level 53 and cid at level 54. But i had all there ultimate weapons and final limits so that might have made a differnece. I also used knights of the round on bizzaro and safer ( mimed it to do normal damge dang wall).
 
Tried again yesterday, killed the first Sephiroth then when he comes back he got me with some big attack, where all the planets come at you so to speak.

When you fight him again, what sort of HP does he have?
 
i beat sephiroth with a level 47 party Clouds Ultima weapon and double cut, and Vincents death penalty and a few hero drinks, materia is key and atleast 2 characters with the cure all combo mastered heartless angel is a trump moveif you dont immediately heal and supernova isnt really all that bad i wiped the floor with him it just takes patients and prep
