Prelims/Mock Exams/Final Exams

Yeah that's true. We have one more topic in Chemistry and Physics to go, and then we've completed the whole syllabus. The thing is though, are two teachers are very different.

One the one had, there's the best teacher in the south-west of England, who teaches Biology. And then our other teacher, teaches us nothing. Seriously. I've had to teach myself Chemistry, and it's hard just reading from books, no-one explains it to me.

I just hope I do do better in the real exam, because I'm meant to be getting a B in Science...

wait........you guys get time to make up test scores? lucky!

Meaning that we have another six months before the final exams, so there's plenty of time to revise and improve upon said subject.

So, who's proud of me? Prelims are officially over - they were rounded off today with my Practical Music exam, It was just my first instrument today - drum kit. I totally owned House of the Rising Sun. Overall 1. Ha-HA! TAKE THAT, N00B'S!

 *Round of applause* I'm very proud Dave, you did great in your Prelims. Keep up the good work, okay?

I got my Biology back, third highest in the class. We didn't get given a grade because Chemistry, Physics and Biology all go together to make a final score, and since I haven't sat Physics yet I'm to wait a while.

I got good comments from my teacher =]. Well, he said that he was very proud of me, that he could tell I had revised, but not enough. That despite my high mark he knew that I could do better. He said...he said that I was naturally intelligent, and then turned to the class and said that they can't pass their exam without revising, and that I am the only person who could do that because I'm naturally clever.

I thought that was classic. I know, my head wont fit through the door soon xD. But what can I say? I'm proud I'm doing well, because I've worked my ass off for it. :) He's definately right on saying that I can improve, and I will. Because he's the best teacher I've ever had, and I know I have it in me to do better.

My 'prelims' are mid terms. Those can't be made up. Those are 10% of my final grade, and they have a grade on their own. either next week of the week after I have essays. the the tests.

I completely buggered up my practical music exam. The drumkit is so crap at our school though, screw it I'm using my guitar from now on, at least if that breaks it's my own fault.

Ooh, English results back today and they weren't too good.

Close Reading - 17/30 = Intermediate 2 *C*
Critical Essays - 25/50 = Intermediate 2 *C*

[Teacher] I'm not particularly worried about this grade, because they're both passes. It just means you have to work a little harder to get that Intermediate 2 *A* you were aiming for.

Meh, I'm not too worried either. It was the VERY first exam we had. Everyone was so panicky and I knew I did bad. The two critical essays - One on 'To Kill A Mockingbird' and the question was on setting, the most difficult thing to write about. The Poem, 'Digging' ... well, I did the wrong question, hence why I got 25/50 - full marks for TKAMB, and no marks for Digging. Meh well.

AHHH...

Tomorrow -

What am I doing here? I need to study...

Wow, everyone is doing exams these days.

English paper 1 was good, much better than what I thought.

Section A [reading]: 21/27 - B
Section B [writing, either to persuade, argue, explain]: 22/27 - A

My lowest grade during these mocks has been a B, so I am so happy ^_^

AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

I failed........

Spanish: A
History: C
LA: B
Biology: A
Computers: B
Algebra: A

DAMMIT!!!!!!!!

You didn't fail, K-G. Those grades look pretty good to me. A C in History, so what? There's a hell of a lot to remember, and most people (myself included) find the subject relatively useless. A's and B's, mainly A's you have is nothing to sneeze at my friend. What grade/year are you in?

My Maths and Chemistry midterms are coming up in mid-January. I'm slightly worried about Chemistry, as there seem to be those odd exceptions here and there that throw you off. We'll see.
