RIKU did not lose his heart. If he did, he would become a Heartless and would also have a corresponding Nobody. RIKU actually DID have the Keyblade. Anyway ...

Your "what-if"? Just change Sora' name to Riku and Riku's name to Sora. The story still remains.

The only difference I can see is you wouldn't have to listen to Sora's annoying voice quite as much.
