Playing God.

Beatrix and Blank should both be optional hidden characters in IX. :)

I just started up a new game of IX and I really like Blank's character.

I forgot about Blank. I forgot which thread it was...but I mentioned Blank as one of the characters that I would date. ^.^

Yes Blank was awesome for what little we got to see of him. :) He was also Zidane's best friend (well that's the impression I got from their interaction. I think it would only have been natural that he join the team. I think the part where Zidane has his break down would have been much more emotional if it was Garnet and Blank that came to comfort him at the end instead of Garnet and who ever else came.

Maybe they could have make Blank a monk and replaced Amarant for him. :P

Just IMO, fighting Necron in IX was stupidly annoying. I had enough power to handle and kill Kuja and then Necron just randomly appears and now I have to fight him. I don't have certian abilities like haste on all my characters making the battle really tough. I appreciate the effort square made but it annoyed the hell out of me. And when a zombied character dies, he's still a zombie so only a death spell can revive him/her :wacky:. I'd make the battle just a tad easier so when I died, I wouldn't be as frustrated losing to the cheap villian who emerges at the end of the game

Just IMO though :)

Now that is an awesome idea. Blank even LOOKS like he'd be a monk, screw the guy with dreds and ape arms. Would have been cool to have been able to explore Lindblum more, too, since it looked so huge in the opening FMV.

Or have more airships in the sky. It made Lindlum look so busy to have airships flying in the sky around it....then after your first introduction to Lindblum, all gone.

Necron's easy if you actually learn the abilities as you progress through the game, doesn't take much effort :monster: Plus, Necron was alot more than a cheap villain, and he IS explained if you pay attention to the game.

Oh I followed the storyline closely as I found it engaging. I guess I just didn't care when Necron just popped after Kuja. I cared when I fought Kuja because of what he did.

Overall I liked FFIX. I can't play it again though. At least it didn't sill random chests...

FF1 - get rid of the stupid monks and thieves. They were useless anyway.
FF2 - Make the final dungeon less difficult! Seriously, you walk in, and it's a 1 hit ko!
FF4 - Tellah actually kills that f@#$ing spoony bard.
FF5 - Give Bartz a personality!
FF6 - Give Shadow enough play time to make him actually useful.
