Overrated Characters

Alright that is enough. If the arguing doesn't quit I'm going to lock this thread. I've had about enough of it and I don't want to see anymore. Respect people for their own opinions.

canon= The truth behind the character. example: Canon Tifa is what Square has actually created. The type of person she is, her attitude, her personality, her looks (including boobs) etc...

fanon= Something that rabid fans make the character/pairings out to be that's just not. example: fanon Tifa is when fans make her something she's not, open and loud mouthed (completely wrong, Tifa is quite shy and closed up) they make her with REALLY huge tits and draw her exposing them (again that is fanon and disrespectful towards Tifa.) I think if Tifa saw what her fans did to her she'd be rather upset.

Something we both agree on. Aeris has a rather retarded fanon as well.

I like the characters for who they truly are, not what fans make them out to be.
 
Agreed both characters do. I don't appreciate people making characters out to be something their not. I was just using Tifa as an example.

I like all three of them, which is why I get so irked when people have something STUPID to say about any of them.

I like CloTi sure for my own reasons, just like you like Cleris.

My personal belief is that Cloud loves both women. Hence the love triangle.

And here's the kicker- you actually admit that the only reason you're posting here is to attack other people's opinions. You know why politicians don't spend 100% of their time attacking their opposing candidates? Because nobody likes an obnoxious troll. Deal with it.

And, because you obviously lack the knowledge to make such a response, I will provide you with an example- any FF character who's importance is debated is overrated, because they are in the game they were programmed to be in and they are not disappearing no matter how much "debating" you do about it.
 
Maybe I should go more into my OPINION of why I think Tifa is overrated. hell I think everyone in FFVII id overrated except Red XIII, so this should be somewhat unbias.

-Tifa is hyped over because of her bee-hive-sized chest and possibly her kick-ass moves as a girl, but not much more. She is a great character, and is there for Cloud when needed, but overall, she plays no significant role in the story like Aeris did.

Ahh, now onto why Aeris can be overrated.
-Aeris is only alive for the first disc. You don't even get to see her fully develop, and if she is fully developed in the game, it happens way to fast. Aeris makes a great sacrifice since she is the only one who can Summon Holy and handle the White Materia, but she can't do it all herself. It takes the whole FFVII cast to make their mission possible and a success.

There; my opinions. I'm entitled to them, you're all entitled to them. I never said fact or made it sound like fact. i simply answered the poll question, and in this case, had to break it down even simpler for some people.

Tifa. I love her, but I see her as totally overrated in more than one way, such as with her fighting skills. *shrugs* I can't think of anyone else from the games at the moment x3

The only significant roll Tifa had in the game was making Cloud aware of his real past. And maybe...being the party leader in the time that he was gone.

Other than that, Aerith still has a more important roll...even after her death.

Sephiroth.

OMG. He was too chicken to fight Cloud until the very end, and his obsession with his mother is...eww. I liked him better when he wasn't all obsessed. He actually had a personality.

I think Squall and Seifer were pretty much overrated.

Squall whined all the damn time and Seifer need his Sorceress to protect him, Cowards both of them

Sephiroth was cool. Just that he wasn't THAT cool. For a long time I thought it was Jenova using Sephiroth. In the end, it's basically true. Her cells caused him to be the tard he is. =/ Same with Kadaj and them.

FFVII AC.

Now that's what I call overrated.
It totally blew the "white materia destroys humans" theory out of the water.
Ruined a lot of good theories.

They are only computed-animated characters for crying out loud so just what the HELL are you just thinking about!? Yeah like they even exist in real life. It's really funny how y'all can be so attractive to some stupid video game characters and I don't think it's a great idea to attack other people but because of this. Are they much more important than people who actually exists in real life?

Once again, stay ON-TOPIC and if I hear anyone from you who is totally disrespectful to the other staff, then suit yourself buddy 'cause you'll be thrown into the prison forum surprisingly without even a verbal warning or chance.

i found tifa ovverrated cause she wasnt all that powerful and amazing as people made it out
 
I tend to have Oreogasms myself.

Another overrated character is Cloud.

For the better part of FFVII, he was just a wannabe Zack. Down to the moves (he took Omnislash from Zack, as Zack told Aeris in the lifestream.)

I really like Cloud, but I think Zack is much cooler.
 
Tifa: Quite possibly the dullest character ever in a Final Fantasy maybe only beaten by Amarant.

Sephiroth: Everyone makes him out to be the biggest badass ever in a video game. Yet all he did was burn down a town and stab a girl in the back.

Vincent: I do like him but I don't think he should get his own game

Rinoa: Biggest damsel in distress of all time

Cloud: Like him, but best hero? People make him out to be something he is not too but that is partly Enix's fault.

Rikku: Her attacks suck and as soon as Yuna gets steal she pretty much becomes useless.
 
Yeah, but Zack was a womanizer according to Aerith.
So regardless of how much I love his personality; Cloud does a more awesome job at being Zack. lol.
