I learned about this game from some people playing it over at Dissidia Forums, they aren't many but they're slowly gathering more players.

What is osu! ?
From the website:

osu! is a rhythm game based on the gameplay of a variety of popular commercial rhythm games. While aiming to keep authentic gameplay and scoring, osu! increases the epic factor through online rankings, multiplayer, replay exchange, and a huge community following. Also available is a fully functional built-in editor, allowing intuitive creation of your own beatmaps for the songs you want to play.
Whether you end up being a hardcore player or a well-respected beatmap creator (or some place in-between), there is something for everybody within the osu! community.

So yeah. There's music, scores, good multiplayer, replays, achievements, and oh btw it's also free and only ~20 MB =)

But yeah, Multiplayer is where it's at.

The main problem is that beatmap creating is a bit difficult and there aren't a lot of beatmaps, and most of them are focused on anime and Japan. But if you are a fan of anime, Japan in general, or especially Hatsune Miku, then you'll probably like this game. The other problem is that it's hard... It takes a while to get the hang of it, and it takes even more time to be able to do harder songs. Normal difficulty songs, rather... Just don't forget that you'll get better if you practice on songs that you can't do, but that doesn't mean that you should jump directly to hard difficulty songs!

http://osu.ppy.sh/ <- The main website. Download it, register - the account is both for the site and the game itself - and start downloading beatmaps.

http://dissidiaforums.com/showthread.php?t=3132 <- You can find some players and info here at Dissidia Forums. The people there are quite friendly.

http://webchat.irchighway.net/?channels=Osu <- I've set up an IRC channel for Osu in the same network as the Dissidia Forums IRC channel due to me being obsessed with IRC. Nobody joins it atm, but we can talk and set up matches easier.

btw, the tutorial is really silly, don't judge a game by its tutorial =)

osu! I love that game.
You can literally compare it too Elite Beat Agents since it's the same type of concept.
And when it comes to beatmaps, there is quite alot. Just can't really remember where I got most of them but I remember having quite alot of Britney beatmaps back in the day.

I'll most likely joining the IRC channel when I get osu! downloaded and set again.
Was surprised to see osu! pop up here aswell.
:se7:

I was expecting a Touhou fan to show up sooner or later =)
Yeah, there are a lot of beatmaps, but not a lot of variety. At least that's what I noticed >.>
Looking forward to play with you! Don't forget to post a link to your account.
