Original Ending?

I'm kind of confused since I'm hearing that FFVII was suppose to end differently and was changed to what it is now, but does anyone know what the original ending was suppose to be then?

Like, the only thing I know is that there's speculation that the timing of Aerith's death was suppose to happen later in the game, but that's as far as I know about story changes in the game.

I think Aerith was supposed to die a bit into Disc 2 originally-there's some unused lines for her for an short while after her death, lines that probably had already been coded by the time they changed the time/location of death and left in due to some oversight.

But I recall that, there were supposed to be multiple endings-adding in Yuffie and/or Vincent. This had to be scrapped for time and budget reasons, so they're not present for...some reason, I'm sure.

All I know of is Yuffie and Vincent were supposed to be in the ending, and maybe at other points after aquiring them, I'd like a remake to cover everything that was missed, if there were afew other bit's and peices, just to like, see what it should have been like. D:

I havent heard anything about Aeris(th)s time of death, but my mate keeps on telling me that there are different endings depending on who kills Sephiroth or what weapon you use etc.

Plus on youtube, im sure ive seen Cait Sith fighting the final Sephiroth (the limit break one) but i think it was in japanese so maybe it was only that version?

There isnt another ending, It was probably just a cheat having Caith Sith fighting the final Sephiroth

I think there was just gunna be Vicent and Yuffie aded in the final FMV (and maybe others, providing you found them) But either time or money meant they couldnt be added in ....o something..... >_>

But it would be hard to add in any new characters. Yuffie and Vincent are, of course, optional. The way to get them is fairly obscure. They'd have to create multiple versions of the ending-Yuffie, Vincent, Yuffie and Vincent...that'd take time they simply did not have.

I really hope an remake doesn't force you to get Yuffie and Vincent. I liked how you get them. I also wish the ending wasn't so ambigious, damnit. What an underwhelming ending that doesn't really answer much at all. It wouldn't be so bad if the sequels were, uh, good.

I know for 100% that Aerith was menna die sometime into disk 2. Specific lines for her if she was in your party were still coded in in and if you used something like a gameshark to keep her alive then you would see them.

There is no extra ending I've beaten the game like 10 times and never saw anything different and the first time I didn't even get Yuffie and Vincent. The only thing that could be a secret or a different ending is the scene after the credits

which is Nanaki (Red XIII) jumping up a cliff with other of his kind and when they reach the top of the cliff they see Midgar under pretty much in ruins, pretty much the beginning of Advent Children
