Orange Boxes

I apologize in advance if there was already a thread created for this subject matter, but I was wondering what the orange boxes under the user name represented? I can't seem to tie a pattern to it with reputation or post count. I've even noticed that some of the boxes are red. Anyways, if someone could tell me what it meant.

you "rank/level/w.e you wanna call it" it will raise like levels if your posts where exp lol.. 50 posts for first, then i think 150, then mabie like 300, 500 o something.. but im tired so mabie not ?
I = fail.. already i must be wrong, coz i have 91 posts...92 now, and like 4 boxes =D

red = neg rep

orange is rep, the higher it is the more boxes you get, if you go on your user cp and scroll down you will see the rep you have recieved

You give it by clicking the little blue box thingy at the bottom of a post under your thing that says rep power...ugh that part was hard to explain, im tired -_-
 
I'm sure there was a thread somewhere explaining it, but I cant for the life of me find it -_-
 
Ok, I could have sworn that before I created this thread, I had 1 box, now I have 3? Ok, so it's directly related to rep then, gotcha! There is also the description when you move the mouse cursor over it. I was pretty flattered by my old one when I had 1 box. I'm guessing that's directly related to rep as well correct?

It is yes, and Im betting afew people repped you for the sake of it, I know I did, check y our user cp and it should show you xD

bah, I scrolled right past that when I was looking.....we need a stickied explanation somewhere ¬.¬
 
hahahaha i remember making a thread on this it turned out to have like 10 pages or something. But yeah, the more boxes the more rep until u get to a certain point where u get no more boxes.
