Okay...I just finished "One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabriel García Márquez. I had really high expectations for this book after hearing such rave reviews. Honestly, though...I didn't think it was as terrific as people led me to believe. It sometimes just plodded on. People told me, "Oh read it just for the ending!" ....Yet I could see the ending coming for about fifty pages. I didn't think it was a very surprising (or even satisfying) ending. I don't know. Maybe I missed something? I was just wondering what others thought.
