hey i have a question? I just got this from my friend i'm not too sure if its true or not... Is there only 15 final fantasys and when they get to 15 it will be the end?

Uh, how do you figure that...?? Popularity of a series equals a degradation in gameplay...? Link, Samus, Solid Snake & Mario (among dozens of others) might have something to say about that...Your idea especially doesn't make much sense with the FF series since it doesn't take place in a continual world or with the same characters, really...and most importantly it doesn't have to use the same development team...so gameplay is bound to alter through the years of the series existence.

But maybe you meant something else...

I heared the exact same rumor.....only it was like 10 years ago and that X was going to be the last or some shit. Basically it's all bull until SE says so and they will never let go of the FF name. It's too much of a seller, like Sonic or Mario or Zelda. They probably only have Trade Marked upto XV for now but once they start doing XIV I'm sure they mark a couple more and so on, it's how it's always worked since the earlier titles.
