OK, as we all know, at the end of FF7, we see Nanaki/RedXIII running up a canyon, with two pups by his side.

Now, what I want to know is, how did get them, or have them?

OK, the Gi tribe aren't Hermaphrodites. They need both the male and female, to... you know. This was demonstrated by RedXII's backstory about his mother and father.

I also thought RedXIII was male, and, I'm assuming that the females fall pregnant, not the males.

So, where did he find these pups?! >_<

He may have found another of his race. It is completely possible. I may not be remembering properly but I think someone did mention that there might be a chance that there were more like red XIII out there.

There is a female species that was locked away prior the end of final fantasy VII as part of a mating ritual, it is revealed in Before Crisis. That is most probably where Nanaki got his cubs from.

Locked away? o_O What I heard was that
Red got married, and after the marriage his wife went on a little meditation pilgrimage or something like that.
Red was the only one of his species we saw in VII...but it never said he was the only one left, so yeah *shrug*

I've got a better question. In AC, we see Red with the pups. Yay for Red.

What I want to know, is how the hell did Cosmo Canyon move across an entire continent to get next to Midgar/Edge?

That is the real question.

I don't think Cosmo Canyon moved at all. I mean, it's totally possible for the landscape to change after four and a half centuries.

What I want to know is how could Red live for so long. I remember in the game that they said he was 48 in the years of his species but only16 in human years. Isn't that supposed to mean he ages quicker than humans?

VR, that post is sorta contradicting itself, you say he is the last of his species, but never said he was the only one left. Am I having a translation issue, or did you miss something?

Oh gawd, I just thought of something

Final Fantasy 7: Nanaki's quest!

4 years after the event of Meteor, Nanaki goes out on a guest, to learn about his mysterious past. But he discovers something deep within ShinRa...

Action RPG.

Nono, he's the only one of his species we SEE in VII (aside from his kids at the end), but the game never says that he was the last one left. There could have been others of his kind at Cosmo Canyon that just lived in a different part than the humans.

As for your game idea......no. I don't want SE bastardizing the only good character in VII. Plus it would probably just end up being an Okami knock-off.

Ohhh, ok, twas just me not reading properly.

And, Yeah, the game idea, I really wouldn't put it past SE to do that. The only reason why I like the idea is the fact of playing as Nanaki in action mode >_<

He was your smartest party member in VII, but as much as I like him I want SE to leave him the hell alone. Knowing Nomura, he's probably try to turn Nanaki into some super saiyan dog or something.

I guess your right. But just watch him in AC makes me wish. Oh well...

On Topic: Thanks for all your help guys! :D

Ugh...don't talk about more spin-off's! I'm still waiting for Before Crisis, and I'm not going to say anything before I see more. But so far, Spin-off's = not so great an idea.

That, and talking about stuff usually jinx's it into worst-case scenario. For this, it would be making it with some rubbish VA and some sub-par gameplay. Not my cup of tea.

On the real issue of this topic, I did remember that other quote. That's why it never seemed weird that Nanaki had kids. Maybe it was only a few of us that actually read all of his dialogue, I mean, he did tend to talk nonsense for a while...(talking of bugenhagen here) He also talked a lot in riddles, thinking that everyone would eventually be on his wavelength. Usually after someone had been really obvious about it. Seriously, he needed to speak clearly. Would have saved some time...

Like this topic for instance. If he'd said, "There is another of your race out there", no one would be asking this question. Then again, I suppose it was a character design... *sigh* Sometimes it works, other times it raises more questions. Who am I to question the superiority of Square-Enix? Oh wait, I'm one of the billion gamers out there. Small voice, but still heard.

(I think my rant is over...)
