Adamant, I thought it was agreed that we were going to take a break for a while. Then you pull this stunt. Changing how attributes are added will screw up the present game.

There is no way two games, with different attributes ruling them, are going to run at the same time. It is a stupid idea.

If the present game is flawed, we should either fix it or start thinking about creating a new game. But it has to offer more than what the present one offers.

Just because you are only interested in PvP, does not mean everything should revolve around what you like. It should revolve around what others want.

This is just a little game you are playing so you can go off and do your own thing.

Come on guys, we are supposed to work in order to benefit the comunity of FFF, therefore we must work as a team and leave the current game right how it is until DB uploads the Gold Version (hopefully that will solve our weapon pic uploading problem  )

If we go by ourselves and change things that could drastically alter the balance of the RPG we would end up screwing the current game and we don't want to do something that could affect the players. ;)

If you care about the players so much, why do you hate the idea? I bet if all of the people on FFF voted on this, the stat changes would win.

You are so thick. I have already told you over and over again why I do not like the idea. I guess since you do not understand the point of base states, I guess I have to explain it to you again. A game is destroyed when the players are getting more attributes than they are supposed to have. It is like the store in V2.4. People could just purchase stat points in HP, STR, MP and DEF. If the people got enough gil, (which was donated by rich players) they could beat monsters a much higher level then themselves. Giving them extreme amounts of EXP. For example, a level 20 is beating level 200 monsters. That is a very stupid way to run a game. The game should have some serious controls to prevent stuff like that from happening. Do you really think it is fair for some players to get through parts of the game, in two days, that it took others a couple of months? It may just bring in people who are just interested in a quick easy game. Which is not a true RPG. I guess you feel that is the only way to get players. Make the game ridiculously easy.

Exactly, players pawning the areas because of excesive gil donation was one serious problem in V2.4 leading us to the situation of "Player LV 20 beats boss LV 200". We could avoid that if we make gil harder to get, or adding a trigger every three areas that will require the players to be at a certain level in order to move on.

For example, I noticed that the RPG has the current condition "The player is at least LV X". We could use that to have some areas be accesible for those who reached that level, not for those who used really strong weapons to pawn the monsters.

I noticed on V 2.4 that people could purchase stats, when I saw that I was like "WTF?! This will make things easier...ohh well...."

I don't want players to fight a boss for over 1 hour, but neither I want them to pawn a whole section of the world map in a couple of hours. We could also control the amount of gil that players earn through monsters, make it harder to get.

Oh, and Adamant. I do care for what the players say about our work. Next time, please make sure you know the facts before making such conclusions about what I am thinking, because I never said that I hated your idea ;)

I'm dealing with Koloth, not you, STL. But because you're so bent on posting...

The only reason that happened was because you could buy stats. You can't do that in this game. Duh...

Considering that there would probably be 20-30 sections of the world map, a "couple of hours" doesn't seem so short. We're talking about 100+ hours in the long run- plenty of time for a single player RPG.

Next time, please try posting some individual thoughts instead of just agreeing with everything Koloth says. Honestly, you're being no less hypocritical than he is.

When YOU make a poll, you say that. When I make a poll, and you know that I will win in the long run, democracy suddenly becomes a lot less important to you and you change your mind. I never said we HAD to do it, I just asked for peoples opinions- notice how I didn't make a thread about how you made a post I made into a poll. And stop bringing up version 2- if the admins were smart in that game, they just wouldn't let the players buy any stats. Anyways, you keep bringing up a game that is COMPLETELY different than the one we have now, and it's rather annoying.

You seem to be totally missing my point. Your idea, of modifying how the attributes are added, is the same thing. It is probably worse. Since people do not even have to pay for their added stats. Also, what is wrong with bringing up the errors of V2.4? We should learn from them.

You love to spin an argument around in circles. I had a good reason to present your idea to the members. The reason being that I wanted a broader opinion. It is not asking the members to agree on a screwed up idea of adding stats to players that did not earn them.

Also, my poll seems to be swinging towards reseting the game. But the new game needs to use all the game's features. Not take features away. As you suggest with components, summons and enchantments.

Ohh for the love of God! Here we go again....>_<

Fine.

If you don't want to listen to what I want to say, I'll keep my opinions to myself, play my part as a RPG Mod and do what I must, which is to listen to what players need to say, help them, and try to get the areas done.

Since I have no interest on arguing about this because my opinions seem to be useless, I'll leave this thread now.

Thank you and have a nice day

Protip- if someone tells you your comments are pointless, ignore them and keep shouting your point (in plenty of caps, of course). They may give up and accept it out of frustration.

That does not work with me. I use logic. Logic always wins in the long run.

I realize that logic is a Vulcan thing and I am a Klingon. But who said that a warrior does not use logic? ;)

Hey, that's not fair, you both know that I always get lost everytime you mention something about Star Trek :P

What's a Kilinglon? What's a Vulcan?

Ok, let me try this:

MY OPINIONS ARE NOT POINTLESS!!!!!! GIVE ME MY PUNISHER GUNBLADE!!!!

There, that should do it.^_^

By the way, thanks for the new quote for my sig

Klingons - are a warrior race who feel that the only honorable way to die is in battle. To die of natural causes is a disgrace.

Vulcans - are a race that believes that beings should control their emotions. Everything, in life, should be controlled by logic.

Both are aliens from the Star Trek series.

Vulcans mysteriously disappeared in Star Trek: TNG, replaced by the relatively evil Romulans. They're obsessed with a caste system and duty, and are constantly scheming to make life hard for the Federation.

They also have cloaked ships.

Vulcans are around in ST: TNG . In fact, you see Spock in a few episodes. By the way, Romulans and Vulcans are related. Romulans chose to continue in the ancient warlike ways, while the Vulcans chose to civilize themselves with logic.

Klingons have cloaked ships as well. Although, the cloaking device was invented by the Romulans.

However, the Federation was stupid enough to sign off their rights to cloaked ships, so they have a HUGE disadvantage in combat. They are often able to find ways to detect cloaked ships, though. There was this one episode where they found a way to make their ships pass through solid matter, but they gave it up at the end for their stupid treaty. Rather ridiculous, in my opinion. The federation would have owned the Romulans if they used that...

Well, Earthers are stupid. They are lucky they are allies with Klingons now.

What does Star Trek have to do with Final Fantasy? Well, Final Fanatasy III had an airship called Enterprise. It cannot explore space... it cannot even go over mountains. It can only land in water.
