FFF NPC service (active Version)

Welcome, this is the NPC service, it is simple known as a 'rental' service for characters.

This basically works in one of a number of ways.
  1. You can 'hire' a NPC player, to play a pre-made character that any one have made from before.
  2. One can 'hire' a player to play a character that is made for a specific situation in a specific RP. Example: Arena opponents, Temporary enemies, random pedestrians of importance.
  3. You can request a monster, or a creature, as a temporary friend or foe.
That is the different ways of working, here is how it will work in detail.
  1. You request one of the persons listed as a NPC'er, to play out a premade character. The character can be one of yours, or one of the NPC'ers themselves. This is done where you want a specific character in a specific situation. This off course is dependant on that the character owner allows it in said situation. As it would not work wit ha holy man going in a murderous rampage.
**If the player does not belong to you, or the NPC'er, it needs direct permission by the owner of said char, via PM to the NPC'er that is to control it**
  2. You make a character (mini bio will follow), with the nessesairy details that is listed in the mini bio. Then a NPC'er will use that character in the situation described in the request. This can be all from temporary enemies, temporary friends or even just a simple NPC to bump into you, if you need that to start a new effect. Shop keepers are often used in this way.
  3. This is slightly different, as this opens up a large number of new effects. Monsters can be randomly met in the wild, or at a specific location. They can be met as a single, or in a pack. It all depends on the request. A special bio is filled out (lower on the page), and it will take on the exact same form as option 2, but wit ha different mini bio.
Now, if you plan to apply for a NPC, here is the information you need for each option.

In either case, the first lines of the post should contain this information.
Template: -Char(s) name(s), Job/position [RP NAME]
Template2: -Job/position, Char(s) name(s) [RP NAME]
For example.
|-Jon Smith, assassin [AE]
|-The assassin Jon Smith [AE]

If you want a character names: Jon Smith, that is an assassin in the RP named AE.
----------

Option 1:
*Can you play [Character name] in [RP name]*

-Character name:
This is the name of the pre-made character you'd like to "Hire" A link is required. Or via PM works for this tab.
-RP: This is information on the RP you want the char to appear in. A link is required.
-Time: Estimated time that the char will be "hired". It does not have to be listed in "days", it can be listed in "Till [insert plot stage here] happens" This off course, can change as time goes.
[[NOTE After said time is gone, the character will leave, in such a way that he should NOT be followed, this is to terminate his role in the RP]]
-When/How: When will said character enter, Right away, after a certain event. State, and explain here.
Will the character just walk around a corner, and greet his friend. Or try to kill them with a ranged attack.
-Info: This is the most important tab. This will explain what the char will be doing. Is he a friend of [Name] char. Or is he an enemy of the world. Will he be bound in killing a specific character, or the cliché one of destroying/enslaving the world.
-Changes: This is if there need to be any changes to said character. If the character are to be evil, and the char sheet states he is good, naturally that is given. But if the char is to be slightly modified. Perhaps the humor are to change, or the way he considers about killing. Such stuff. State any wish for character change here.
-Other: Is there anything other that does not fit into another tab, List that here.

Option 2:
*Can you play this char [insert mini bio] in [RP name]*

-RP: This is information on the RP you want the char to appear in. A link is required.
-Time: Estimated time that the char will be "played". It does not have to be listed in "days", it can be listed in "Till [insert plot stage here] happens" This off course, can change as time goes.
|-Then: After the time is gone, what will the char do. Will he die, kill himself, or just wanter off, seeking his own goals.
Will he be bound in killing a specific character, or the clichè one of destroying/enslaving the world.
-Other: Is there anything other that does not fit into another tab, List that here.
-Char: Here is where you will write the character you wish to have played.
As stated, it does not have to be as detailed as a normal character.
Simply the basic info is needed. And one need not think too much about balancing, as it will be taken care of by the NPC player.
--------------
The mini bio must contain this:
--
-Name: What is the name of the character, s/he can go by a nickname.
-Race: If non human, this must be explained in greater detail.
-Gender: Which gender is the character.
-Age: What is the age of the char, if s/he is older then he looks, state how old he is, and how old he looks
-Appearance: This is how her/his body looks, it also contains clothes and armor.Images are welcome.
-Personality: personality of the char, this is a very important tab, as this is what the NPC'er will build on for reactions and replies.
-Weapon(s): Detail every weapon here, both appearance and unique powers. Images are welcome.
-Magic: Does the character have magic, if so it needs to be detailed here. Keep in mind mental fatigue (mana drain) and energy cost, as well as range and how it is cast. To make it simple, use the following 'spell template' that is in Italic at the end of this bio.
-Skills: What skills does the char have, not counting magic.
-Other: Anything other, describe that here.
------------
Spell template:
-Name: This will be changed out with the name of the spell
|-Element: This will display the element it is primary associated with
|-Target: This explains what the target may be, be it a single person, or a tree. Or up to an “area of effect” (aka; AOE). For “Passive” skills, as they are activated (on self) they will remain active for a period.
|-Mana drain: This is the basic mana drain, all from none at all, to severe.
Mana drain levels: None, slight, low, moderate, high, severe, insane.
|-Casting Procedure: the way the spell is cast, this contains the way it can be identified as well.
|-Explanation: This will explain what the spell does, and how it might affect things.
|-Counteraction: This will explain the best way to counter, or nullify the spell. If there is none, the word “none” will be displayed, and one will have to physically evade the spell, or the AOE
------
It can be altered to fit a specific RP, but the basic info IS needed.

-----

This takes on the exact effect as option 2, but with the following character sheet as well
Note that not all tabs are required, this is dependant on its role.
The Underlined tabs, are required. Note that there are underlined tabs on the mini sheet just before this sentence as well.

-Monster Name : (This should include species only)

-Number: How many are to be encountered

-Appearance: This should contain how the animal looks, as well as size and weight. Images are welcome.

-Growth : Include the monster’s life cycle if applicable and the likelihood of encountering the monster while in its different stages, for example a Blue Dragon could have a baby form, adult form and elder form. Include approximate height/weight and appearance as well as any discernable differences between their stages, if there are no differences just say N/A

-Behavior Patterns : Describe the monsters temperament ranging from inherently evil or territorial to passive and unaggressive unless attacked. Describe plausible reasons for the monster to engage in combat. Also include : whether they travel in packs or herds or by themselves; whether they eat plant, animal, magic, rock etc ; whether they follow a leader as in an alpha, or whether they are individuals (this is Also known as "Personality")

-Intellect: Describe, with examples/comparison if you wish, the level of intellect the creature has. Dies he have a human level, allowing it ti speak in the common tongue? Or perhaps just mindless 'beast'.

-Habitat : Include possible locations for where the monster could be sighted, and include reasons why they live there.

-Strength : This is a section completely devoted to the physical strength of your Monster. Describe to us its brute strength, such as how much it can lift, how much damage it can do to a brick wall, for example, in a single punch.
It is also useful to state how much damage a punch would do to a character if the opponent’s health was at 500 (with minimal defensive capabilities), and give it’s damage a numerical value. DO NOT automatically assume that every character's health is recorded by numerical values. This is simply a ratio for the mods to understand.)

-Speed : In this section state how quickly the monster can move. How quickly it can sidestep, how fast it can run, and how fast its attacks are

-Endurance : In this section state how much damage the monster can endure without using numbers, state how long the monster can fight for before becoming tired, how long it can run at full speed.

-Elemental strengths and weaknesses : Include only its resistance/absorption or weakness of elemental magic/skills, and explain why it would be strong/weak against it. If none, simply state: NA.

-Status defense and weaknesses: Include only resistance or weakness to status effects, and explain why it would be strong/weak against it. If none, simply state: NA.

-Abilities : This is NOT magic, that has its own section. State any specific physical abilities of the monster. For each ability, you must describe the general appearance, the theoretical effects, and the duration of any long-standing skills. These skills can range from the use of artefacts, such as pendants, to a shout or power up that gives you more strength. If your character uses Chi, Ki, or any other form of bodily/mental/external energy to fuel their attacks, you must state it here, as energy is not technically magic.
Also, if you are using energy, you should state how much of your energy each energy attack will cost you, in terms of fractions.)

-Magic : This is the section where magic goes. In here, you state the type or element be it Fire, Earth, Air, Wind, Water, Lightning, Aether, Arcane, Necromancy, etc. of your magic, and for each type, state the appearance and theoretical effects of this magic. If, for example, you sport Necromancy and decide to raise corpses, describe how long the skill takes before it is complete, how much energy it takes, what the undead will look like, what abilities/strength they have, etc. This applies to all magics, and each should be described in the most precise detail you can manage.

-Additional Information : (Anything else?)

That is it for the information. But remember, read the rules and how to apply for a NPC.
-All things in the NPC thread, have to comply with the FFF rules. So don't go request anything above PG13, or anything other that might be against FFF rules.
-All characters has to be requested via this topic, requests via PM can get a 'yay or nay' for approval, but it will not be implemented until after it has been approved in this topic.

No, the thing here is, that Im the only one that will control NPC's as of this date.
this means, Id rather prefer that I either play my own characters, or characters created via th mini bio for a specific cause.
Id prefer not to play others' characters unless it is absolutely necessary.

Also, before you ask, you can not become a NPC player, at least not at this date.
When/if it becomes populated enough that we will need more then 1, it will most likely be the staff that will do it.

Where do we post these?
Until further notice, post all request in this topic.

Also, as a note that goes without saying, but Im stating it anyway.
When a request for a NPC for any RP is made, I will contact the RP'leader to check if it is ok.
If the leader approves, then the NPC can/will be used, if s/he dont want it in his/er RP, then that spesific NPC request will be denied until further notice.

Needed Monster: Bara.desu and Mehaha RP (title and thread pending).

-Monster Name
:
Mountain Dragon (Fire; Male; recent Adult)

-Number: 1

-Appearance: With an Adult Mountain Dragon standing at 8 feet at shoulder level and weighing over a ton, this breed of dragon is awe-inspiring. With strong, resilient draconian scales, the dragon has a rough appearance. This particular breed's scales are generally some shade of red, with the underbelly being a lighter color, and the eyes being an orange hue. Large, dark horns generally protrude from their heads, down along their spines, and ending on their tails; this is mostly prominent with males while females have a more modest version compared to the males. This species of dragon has large wings which are used for flight and intimidation, and eye-sight comparable to a hawk.

-Growth : Most dragon's can be divided into three main age groups: Young, Adult, and Elder.

When freshly hatched till 13 years old, the dragon is considered Young. At this stage, the dragon is incapable of breathing their elemental breath nor casting magic. Ranging from 1 foot to 5 feet, these dragons are considered "scrawny" with most not leaving their parent's cave without a parent.

When a Young dragon is able to breath his elemental breath and fly, he then becomes an Adult. As an adult, the dragon leaves the parent's protection, staking claims to surrounding land. Also, the dragon finishes their physical development during this period, which lasts roughly from 13 to 25.

-Behavior Patterns : During the Adult years, most mountain dragons are driven by a deep desire for supremacy and territory. Generally acting alone till they reach their Elder stage, Adult dragons are driven constantly by their overly aggressive instincts. Rooted in their nature, most Adults are extremely aggressive, attacking anything that it views as a threat. This ranges from trade caravans to villages and towns. As a result, most races view them as a threat to their civilizations.
-Habitat : Mountain dragons are usually sighted in mountainous regions (duh). With their wings, they usually find difficult to reach caves to provide protection and warmth. As a bonus, the dragons use their exceptional eye-sight to scout from their high caves for possible prey and enemies.

-Strength : An average adult, with a well placed claw strike, could easily mortally wound a man. If the dragon were to punch a brick wall, the brick wall would either be heavily damaged or completely destroyed. A dragon can lift upwards of 800 pounds, but can only lift (via flight) 400 pounds.

-Speed : Dragons are relatively slow creatures, mainly because of their large size. Most of their moves have large windups that allow most creatures to scurry out of the way before being hit. On land, a dragon can only move at roughly 15 mph, but in the air, dragons move around 40 mph.

-Endurance : Mountain dragons aren't the hardiest of the dragon species, but they are still very tough. Generally, only metallic or magical weaponry is effective against a dragon. A dragon could easily take a volley of arrows and slashes from a sword without slowing down in the slightest. However, the underbelly is generally much softer, allowing for skilled dragon slayers to impale major organs with some effort. A dragon can run at full speed for about 5 minutes before tiring, but flying at full speed can last over an hour without needing to land.

-Elemental strengths and weaknesses : Being fire dragons, their elemental breath and crude magic are strong against ice and wind based magic, but are weak against water.

-Status defense and weaknesses: Being fire dragons, they are practically immune to burns. Only extremely hot temperatures (volcanoes) will result in burns, if anything. Also, an immense amount of frost is required to freeze a fire dragon, granting them almost complete immunity.

-Abilities : Fire dragons are able to use their fiery breath to spew fire at opponents. For an adult, the average length of fire use (whether in spurts or in a constant stream) is about two minutes. Afterward, the dragon must recoup for at least three hours to replenish to half-capacity. The actual spray is generally inaccurate, aimed more to startle the enemy than to actually hurt them. This accuracy is reduced even more when used from mid-flight. The distant a stream of fire can travel before dispersing is 30 feet.

-Magic : For an Adult dragon, the only spells it would know would be very basic fire spells. Unlike its elemental breath, its fire spells are designed to cause damage to single opponents.

-Time: The dragon should be around till it dies. It could be about 4 or 5 posts (or more; I'm not entirely sure, actually).

|-Then: After the dragon has finished it's second fight, it will die.

-When/How: The dragon (if it wants) can attack the village once during our characters brief stay (makes things interesting). Once on our search, we will be attacked because the dragon (flying?) views us as prey when travelling up into the mountains. After we fend off it's attacks, it will retreat (speweing fire); at this moment it will treat us as enemies. Afterward, we will proceed into it's cave, find it, and fight it a second time. However, now the dragon is fighting for its life (boss battle).

-Info: This character will be ravaging a nearby village from his high-top cave. As a result, the village will hire our characters (bara.desu and Mehaha) to kill it. On our search, we will be attacked because the dragon views us as prey.

-Intellect: By most measures, the Adult dragon is generally considered to have a beastly intelligence. Although not as intelligent as the average person, dragons do have a different sort of intelligence. Their intelligence doesn't lie in language or literature, but in combat. In that respect, they are as intelligent as a regular person.

So, edit in this information as well ^^
