Is Kingdom Hearts in the Final Fantasy Canon? I know all the final fantasies are supposed to be canon to each other but with no direct links. I have barely touched kingdom hearts *bricked* but i just want to know. It would seem pretty silly if they really were connected like that...
 
i dont really understand what your saying,but if your saying if kingdom hearts has any refrences to final fantasy characters,there is cloud when hercules brings them to the colliseum to fight the cerberus,but ive only played up to that far,so,i couldnt find any more ways,unless you could explain exactly what you mean
 
I know their are FF characters in kingdom hearts silly, i mean do the events of kingdom hearts actually happen in the future of the final fantasy characters or are they sort of recreated for kingdom hearts just as a "what if?"


...okay its hard to explain without simply saying "is kingdom hearts in the final fantasy canon" but you obviously dont get that.

Ummm, does the cloud from VII and Advent children actually eventually go to these disney places. Like is kingdom hearts actually continuing the final fantasies or is it just an alternate storyline?
 
No, whatever happens to Cloud, Aerith, Tifa, Cid, and Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts, for instance, does not actually happen to them in the FFVII universe. Same goes for the other characters.
 
o_O,i see what your saying,no,they dont sctually happen,for instance,cloud doesnt talk to his final fantasy friends about his trip to disney world,its just sort of a tie in,without it actuallly being a tie in,if you get that,its just putting characters in for the plot,like how biggs and wedge are in the beginning of ff vi,its just putting a character in one game with it having absolutely no connection to the rest of the universe
 
Oh right, thanks for clearing that up. I thought it would be silly if these events actually happened in the FF universe.
 
Actually, the creators asked that the relationships between the characters be considered canon. So while the stuff never happened in the real FFs, the people they interact with is important.
(E.g. Cloud seeming shy and guilty around Aerith; Cloud not being sure if he should take Tifa's light or not)
