No celebration ?!?

I hate to break it to you, but nobody wants to see a FF8 movie, especially after the nightmare-storm of FF7 sequels. Square is simply, with the FF7-be-a-separate-series thing, celebrating their breakthrough into mainstream popularity and massive paychecks.

Sorry, Squall. Nobody wants you here. Go sulk in your emo corner. Me and Rinoa are going to the movies. XD
 
I'm glad its not receiving the same amount of treatment/attention that VII got. Me personally VIII wasn't my favorite, I didnt really care for it. But I'm glad that atleast for the fans of this games sake that they let it go, atleast SE won't ruin the "magic" feeling that it holds for people that like the game. SE now tends to make games mission based and in that new combat system, which I can deal with but dont prefer. So good for them for leaving it alone, now hopefully they do the samething for IX and X as well. As those are my favorites of the series.
 
I'd really like to see a handheld port, like they did with the others, but if they don't, that's okay too. I'm sure I would HATE a movie though, they would definitely ruin it :( *sigh* I hope they don't... But a handheld port... to the PSP... YESSSSSS!

If FFVIII became the new VII, I think I'd shoot myself. Irvine doesn't need his own sharpshooter game where he seduces women and buys guns :P But Laguna... LAGUNA CAN HAVE HIS OWN GAME! PREQUEL BABY!
