This anime series is extremely bloody and gorey. Lots of blood spills as Junpei slices through them with his sword.

Anyone ever watch this series?

I've only ever seen the movie, and its one of my favorites, the scene where hes fight the blind guy was fantastic, the whole movie was fantastic....runs off to watch it again

I saw the movie and I really liked it. I thought the end was sad though. I haven't seen the TV series yet.

I didnt like the sequel and I havent managed to watch the TV series yet, but the movie is very good. Bit sad at the end, but great twists and characters.

I really liked the first Ninja Scroll movie, although I haven't seen the sequel, does anyone know if it's out in America yet? And I've seen a couple episodes of the tv series, and I was really dissapointed. It just didn't have the same atmospheric effect that the first movie had.

The sequel, Ninja Ressurection, has been out for some years. I got mine when I was about 16 something like that.

Actually, despite popular belief, Ninja Ressurection is NOT the real sequel to Ninja Scroll. The makers of Ninja Ressurection decided to try and sell it as one (for commercial and money purposes, of course) after they realized that both the main characters were named Jubei, and they both had "ninja" in the title.

A real Ninja Scroll 2 was actually in the works last time I checked, and was supposed to be due out in Japan in either '05 or '06, so I was just wondering if it had been translated yet.

Well no, apparantly it's still in the making.
And it's gonna be knows as Jubei Ninpucho II (Chronicles of Jubei II) but they'll probably get it named "Ninja Scroll II" once it's dubbed in English and released outside of Japan.
