Nick Burns - The Jerk that helps

This is an old skit from SNL called Nick Burns. Nick Burns is a computer guy that is a complete jerk and acts like a know-it-all when others need help with computers.

My question, have any of you ever had a person working with you, it could be at work or school or even in a family, that acts like a complete know-it-all and goes about helping someone in a rude way that usually consists of them downplaying someone's smarts for something?

I can't hear the video because I've not got my speakers plugged in at the moment but I know exactly what you mean about rudeass people who think they know everything.

Instead of trying to be helpful in a nice way, they go about it in the most up their ass way, making the other person feel like the smallest piece of nothing in the world.

I hope that people like that will have someone who is so much smarter then them come along one day and embarrass them. I hope said person is much nicer too and that the person will learn from this encounter and become a better person.

Though that's not how it will always play out unfortunately.

It makes you wonder why these people want to help you at all. It's like all they want to do is show you how much better they are then you and everyone else.

There is this girl at work who used to always do this to me but she left a while ago.

I don't understand the way these people think. I am always helpful and I do it just to be helpful. I don't need to prove anything to anyone and make them see just how good I am at something. It just seems to me that these sort of people really have no life. =/
