Needing help running!!!

Yeah well you see I'm playing a few early FF's on an emulator to bask in the old skoolness of it all instead of playing the newer versions on the PS etc. I got the SNES version of FF VI but for some reason I can't run, only walk, even if I am pressing the correct buttons. Does anyone know how to sort this out?

You have to have a special accessory equipped that allows you to run (Sprint Shoes I think?). If you have that, then you should be able to run. If it still doesn't work, try ZSNES or a differnt ROM. I have FF6 running on an emulator and I was able to run just fine.

Yeah I use Sprint Shoes on FFVI, but what about the other FF's where you cant use things like that?
I'm using ZSNES, and I can't seem to run on any FF nevermind just VI, so I dont think its just the ROM.
